As a Youth Peace Ambassador from Peshawar, I have come to understand that the key to promoting peace is not just about spreading messages or organizing events, but it is about recognizing and embracing our connections with one another. This realization dawned upon me during the very first activity at our youth camp, where we were asked to introduce ourselves using a thread. The task was simple – we had to hold the thread and throw it to someone else while introducing ourselves. What started as a simple ice-breaker activity turned into a powerful lesson for me. As we began throwing the thread to others, I noticed that we were all standing at a significant distance from each other. But as the game progressed and the thread was passed on, the circle became smaller and smaller. This simple game made me realize that no matter how different we may seem, as Pakistanis, we are all connected in some way or another. This connection is what we should focus on, rather than our differences. We should learn to accept and respect each other, regardless of our backgrounds, beliefs, or opinions. I am immensely grateful to #Tearfund and Sir #Nayyar for organizing this youth camp and providing us with a platform to understand the importance of our connections as Pakistanis. Through various activities and discussions, we were able to see how our actions and words can have a direct impact on those around us. As Youth Peace Ambassadors, it is our responsibility to spread this message of unity and acceptance among our communities. We need to stand together, care for each other, and work towards building a peaceful and harmonious society. In a country like Pakistan, where there is a diverse mix of cultures, religions, and ethnicities, it is crucial that we recognize our connections and strive towards promoting peace and harmony. We should not let our differences divide us, but instead, we should celebrate them and use them to bring us closer together. As a Youth Peace Ambassador, I am committed to spreading this message and being a catalyst for change in my community. I urge others to do the same and join hands in building a peaceful and united Pakistan. #Flourishingtogether #Tearfund #Interfaithyouthcamp #HumenpyarhaPakistansa

Seeking Your Thoughts: I was recently advised not to post about the situation in Palestine 🇰🇼 and Israel on LinkedIn, as it might negatively impact my career now or in the future. Personally, I feel strongly about supporting Palestine and raising awareness of what’s happening. I’m curious—do you believe that sharing views on such sensitive topics can affect one's professional growth on platforms like LinkedIn? How do you handle discussing important global issues while maintaining your professional image? I’d appreciate hearing your perspectives. #Palestine #IsraelPalestine #ProfessionalGrowth #CareerAdvice #GlobalIssues #LinkedInCommunity

Listen to this #standwithisrael
Look, it's the apartheid... NOT! This is exactly what I see each time that I go to the Tel Aviv University. This is everyone's home, Jews and Arabs living together. I personally find it offensive when the term 'apartheid' is casually applied to describe the situation in Israel. I believe such comparisons minimize the immense suffering endured by the people of #southafrica during the era of apartheid. Stop diminishing the significance of what the people of color in South Africa went through with the loose associations! #southafrica #apartheid #israel #students #campus #campuslife #tau #telaviv #universitylife #advocacy_israel

A community is a group of people who have created connections and social relations among themselves, who operate within certain boundaries, are linked to a place/space (physical or virtual), and have a common characteristic, desire, or interest. Now reread communities = kibbutzim. 25 communities were completely destroyed, over 130,000 refugees. It will take a long time before we begin to restore these communities, a community belonging - that defines us, creates opportunities for us, a community provides you with security and moments of joy alongside pain, it is an anchor, a place where you will find support in times of need. In the new reality, when the whole routine has changed and needs to be rebuilt, amidst the pain, the tears, the uncertainty, and the thoughts of what will happen, I could talk to them about all these feelings and thoughts. Yes, yes, with them🙏 In this picture you can see: one Israeli (me) one Turkish one Iranian one Mongolian and one Kazakh!!! We are talking about life, the new reality, the beginnings, and the challenges we face, for me, of course, things that were clear a month ago are no longer relevant now. 🎗 What are the goals of each of us for this month? 🎗 What is the most critical task, and how do we achieve it? For one hour, we left the war off the screen🙌🙏. Thanks to Hey Lady! community that makes this possible🪬🙌✨ #community #belonging #relationshipskills #safecommunities #creativecommunity #careergrowth

As we bid farewell to 2023 and embrace 2024 with open arms, let's reflect on this meaningful year. it’s not only the list of professional accomplishments that I want to celebrate here (there is a lot to be proud of) but the shared joys, connections, and friendships that we make along the way. One night working on a project with a team member, the discussions took us to a personal space. He opened up sharing about his life, his family, hobbies and what made him interested. It was a simple conversation but it reminded me that work is not just about tasks and projects. It’s about the people we share it with, the connections we make in the journey and that behind everyone in the team there is a personal story and a human that we might not know. And from this, 2023 for me, was a year to appreciate the relationships, understanding each other more and forming connections and strong bonds to bring the best out of each one of us. As we enter the new year, let's carry this understanding forward and keep the doors for us to embrace the beauty of connections and shared experiences. And lastly, as we think about the past year, we send our thoughts and prayers to our fellow brothers and sisters in Gaza. May the coming year bring peace prosperity and freedom to them. May their resilience be met with hope for a brighter future. #PrayForGaza #PeaceForAll #YearEndReflections #HumanConnections #NewBeginnings
