Brilliant minds and passionate hearts come together to weave the fabric of ideas, transforming them into footwear that tells stories of innovation and art, as in the case of Augustin Baietan , Project Manager at Rekord Creative Department, who explains how shared dreams take shape, step by step through collaboration, talent enhancement, trust, and technology. "There is a high degree of satisfaction that surrounds working in Rekord's Creative Department, like the satisfaction a creative mind feels when it sees an idea, a concept, a vision materialise into something concrete, tangible. Into products that will be used and appreciated by thousands, tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of people around the world. [...] Being part of a strong company like Rekord gives me the opportunity to work on complex projects that result in great products. I am part of a team whose goal is the well-being of the whole company and all the staff. We all have different personalities, but when the goal is the same, the results are amazing. When you are encouraged to think creatively, to go beyond your limits, to collaborate with your team... then you grow, you become better. At Rekord, the keys to success are personal and professional development, collaboration, communication and learning. All this is encouraged and rewarded. The work I have done over all this time and the results I have achieved show me that everything is possible when the will is there, when you work in a company that helps you grow professionally and personally, surrounded by people you can trust." #Rekord #MGM #amovingcompany #people

If you know me, you know I love shoes and being a shoe designer. One of the token things I say is that I'm better at remembering someone's shoes than their face or name - which is usually pretty accurate. One thing I don't talk about much is how hard it is to make it in the footwear industry. It's super competitive and there are limited opportunities. During my undergrad and grad school experience I would often question why I chose to do what I did (maybe other people have felt this way!). I'm forever grateful for the people/companies that taught me and have given me opportunities to work, learn and grow. I'd love for anyone who really wants it, to get that opportunity! While teaching footwear design this semester at SLCC, I had a wild idea of creating an internship-course for anyone interested, working with some brands that I'm closely connected with. Giving participants the opportunity to walk away with a new line on their resume and some killer projects in their portfolio. Many times brands have budget constraints or other factors that limit their ability to hire interns. Also having to move and relocate for an intern can be out of the question as well, depending on their circumstances. So here we are! Let's try something new, below is a link to sign up and learn more about this intern course. I'll be posting more about it as we get closer, but my hope is that this can be the perfect opportunity for some designers to get great experience, they wouldn't have been able to otherwise! https://lnkd.in/gRnBGjGy Also, inspired by a post from Richard Kuchinsky - I created a website, https://lnkd.in/gqr-n6ZV in the hopes that that can also be a space to go to for footwear learning information, there are a bunch of links to other online and in-person courses and programs. Check it out!

A BUSINESS INSPIRING STORY BEHIND A SUCCESSFUL BRAND - ADIDAS. Today i gave a minute of my time to go through the history of the 2nd best sportswear producer in the world, ADIDAS. The History is quite impressing even though there were multiple business challenges here and there. The company was started by a German entrepreneur by the name Adolf Dassler and his Brother Rudolf around 1924. The master mind behind Adidas Adolf came up with the name from his nick name 'Adi' and his last name's first three letter Das and the company was officially named Adidas. The company faced several challenges on design and production of its footwear but Rudolf was so behind the success of the company through support on his brother with his sales skills acquired from his previous employment. In 1936 the company had a privilege of marketing its brand in summer Olympics when Jesse Owens a four times Gold medal winner wore their spikes. They later managed to sell about 200,000 units. Business always have downfalls and later on the two brother parted ways and the elder brother Rudolf started Puma as one of the Adidas biggest Rivalry. There were so much happening between the two companies trying to gain their market share with much competition between the two. Fast forward Adidas went through difficult times during the 2nd world war and it ceased its operations. The two brothers joint Nazi Party in early 1930s and while the company was facing challenges its premises were used as weapons manufacturing factory. In early 1990s the company faced challenges and was therefore purchased by Bernard Tapie, the famous businessman who used to acquire businesses which were facing bankruptcy. He acquired Adidas for 243.9 euros. Tapie purchased the company through debt financing from a state owned bank called Crédit Lyonnais. At that time Tapie was minister of Urban Affairs. The company later again experienced financial difficulty under Tapie's leadership and therefore was sold by the Bank after having to convert the outstanding debt into equity. Today the company employed 61.4k employees across the world and has generated Revenue of over 22 Billion US dollars with its Net profit of over 610 million usd. The company was later sold to Louis-Dreyfus the then CEO of the company for doubles profits to the Bank(Previous owner). Important: In business, we may encounter problems but when ever we feel the need to bring business solutions that business will definitely survive and be a better person in future. We need to stay strong, focus and maintain a positive mind when ever we experience shortfalls. Some business fallouts are so huge that their impacts might hit national economy so hard. Today Adidas has over 100 years in operation. Funny😂🤣 Adidas old business logo was purchased in 1952 for 1600 euro and two bottles of whiskey.

After conversing with a friend who recently returned from a fair, she shared her enriching experience with me. Given my involvement in a company renowned for its high-caliber engineering, I received valuable advice from colleagues on attending such events. It's worth noting that companies often guide individuals who are attending a fair for the first time or have limited experience with such events Hence, before attending a fair, there are several steps you can take to guarantee an enjoyable and memorable experience: 1. Check the Exhibition Sections: Start by exploring sections that are relevant to your business. Take a look at the different exhibition sections or areas of the fair. Note any specific exhibits or displays you want to visit, especially if there are special themes or showcases. Prioritize these areas to make the most of your time and focus on opportunities that align with your business interest. 2. Pre-register for your Badge: If the fair requires registration or provides badges for entry, consider pre-registering online if possible. This can save you time and hassle when you arrive at the fairgrounds. 3. Wear Comfortable Shoes: Wearing comfortable shoes is essential for walking around the fairgrounds all day. Opt for supportive footwear that can handle various terrains and long periods of standing. 4. Carrying a notepad is essential for several reasons. Firstly, they allow you to jot down important information, track interesting vendors or exhibits, and make notes about any purchases or contacts you make during the fair. Additionally, notepads enable you to remember conversations and advice from suppliers that you may otherwise forget, especially considering the number of suppliers you may encounter throughout the event 5. Fully Charged Phone for Photos: Since you'll likely be taking photos throughout the day, make sure your phone is fully charged before heading to the fair. Consider bringing a portable charger or power bank to recharge your phone if needed. 6. Plan Your Day: Planning your day ahead of time can help you make the most of your fair experience. Prioritize the attractions, shows, and activities you want to see, and allocate time accordingly. Be flexible with your schedule, but having a plan can help ensure you don't miss out on anything important. 7. Stay Hydrated and Snack Ready: it's important to stay hydrated and have snacks on hand to keep your energy levels up throughout the day. By following these additional tips, you can enhance your fair experience and make the most of your time exploring all the attractions and offerings.

#17 - 100 days 100 comebacks series in the world of business From Brothers to Bootleggers: The Adidas Story of Resilience and Innovation In the heart of post-World War I Germany, two brothers, Adolf "Adi" Dassler and Rudolf Dassler, embarked on a journey that would redefine the world of sports footwear. Their story is a testament to resilience, innovation, and the power of sibling rivalry to fuel entrepreneurial success. Adolf Dassler, a passionate cobbler, harbored a deep-seated belief that footwear could enhance athletic performance. In 1920, he founded Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik, a small shoemaking company in Herzogenaurach, Germany. His brother Rudolf, a gifted businessman, joined the company in 1924, and together they began producing innovative shoes for athletes, focusing on comfort, support, and traction. The Dassler brothers' early success was fueled by their unwavering commitment to quality and innovation. They pioneered the use of spikes in running shoes, introduced new materials and manufacturing techniques, and collaborated closely with athletes to refine their designs. Their shoes quickly gained popularity among local athletes and soon spread across Germany, establishing Gebrüder Dassler as a leading footwear manufacturer. However, the outbreak of World War II brought immense challenges. The brothers were drafted into the German army, and their shoe factory was requisitioned for war production. Upon their return from the war, the Dassler brothers faced a new challenge: a bitter rift that would split their company in two. The underlying causes of the conflict remain shrouded in mystery, but it is believed that differing business philosophies and personal tensions played a role. In 1948, the brothers parted ways, with Adi founding adidas and Rudolf establishing PUMA Group, two brands that would become fierce rivals in the sportswear industry. The rivalry between Adidas and Puma fueled their respective successes, driving them to innovate, expand their market reach, and establish themselves as global sportswear giants. Today, both brands are renowned for their heritage, innovation, and commitment to athlete performance, serving as a testament to the entrepreneurial spirit and resilience of the Dassler brothers. Their story is a reminder that even in the face of adversity, challenges can be transformed into opportunities for growth and innovation. The Dassler brothers' legacy lives on in the footwear they created, the brands they founded, and the spirit of competition they ignited, inspiring generations of entrepreneurs and athletes to pursue their own dreams of success. #adidas #adidasoriginals #puma #pumafam #adidassler #rudolfdassler #businessrevolution #leadership #innovation #strategicthinking #expertnetwork #seriouslywiser
