The Consortium of Cybersecurity Clinics reposted this
Hard to believe the NICE Conference and Expo wrapped up two weeks ago! Thanks very much to Google for featuring The University of Texas at Austin's Applied Cybersecurity Community Clinic at the Strauss Center for International Security and Law in a plenary session panel moderated by Maab Ibrahim. Not only were we able to spotlight the 15 incredible new cyber clinics launching with the support of the Google Cybersecurity Clinics Grant Fund, but we were also able to tell the stories of Jose Torres, a UT clinic alum whose team helped a municipal government in Central Texas prioritize its cybersecurity risks and take meaningful steps to reduce them, and Rachel B. Lee, a Longhorn business owner in Austin who sought the UT clinic's services after her business, StandOut Authority, suffered financial loss from a cyber attack. The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency's Mike Howell rounded us out by sharing his perspective on how cyber clinics are force multipliers of national cybersecurity resiliency efforts. Thank you again to our moderator for perfect preparation, our panelists for their time and stories, and congratulations again to the newly funded cybersecurity clinics!! I'm excited to keep the momentum going as we welcome you all to the The Consortium of Cybersecurity Clinics and share our lessons and experiences.
Thank you so much for leading this effort. You’re doing such a fantastic job and helping so many small businesses. 🙏🏻🙌🏻
You were just fantastic in every speaking spotlight and a joy to engage in and out of formal sessions - such a trailblazer in the #cybersecurityclinics movement! Thanks for all you do and can't wait for more collaboration ahead.
Sounds like an incredible event! Congrats to all the new clinics and thank you for sharing these inspiring stories. Here's to strengthening our cybersecurity community!
