Imagine the world is a giant, beautiful blanket. This blanket is made up of lots of different colored threads, like all the different races, genders, and backgrounds of people on Earth. Each thread adds something special to the blanket and makes it unique. But here's the thing: not all the threads get noticed the same way. Sometimes, the voices of young people, especially those who come from tougher backgrounds, might not be heard as clearly. It's like their threads are tucked underneath, not as bright or bold as the others. As such it's important to listen closely to everyone's story, no matter the color of their thread. Young people from different backgrounds have different experiences, and these are all valuable pieces of the blanket. It is through this dialogue and collaboration that we can make sure all the threads shine bright, creating a more beautiful and complete picture for everyone. Join us let explore this interesting theme together. Date: Sunday, April 21st, 2024 Time: 5:00 PM GMT (7:00 PM CAT, 6:00 PM WAT, 8:00 PM EAT) Venue: Zoom (Meeting ID: 4099868025)

Include the #Rohingya community in decision-making processes concerning their crisis. Prioritize their voices, amplify their perspectives, and empower their leadership instead of attributing blame to them for perceived lack of professionalism or reliance on the privileges of others. Executive Coach | DEI Consultant | Gallup Certified Strengths Coach | IDI Qualified Administrator | Non profit leader | Author of Dear White Leader | Speaker| Cultural Humility Facilitator
Cultural Humility.... There are three characteristics that comprise #culturalhumility. Self-awareness and self-critique, redressing power imbalances, and systemic change. In the cultural humility workshops that I facilitate I unpack each of these. The key is beginning with self, but it cannot end there! You must then take what you are learning in developing yourself and point it toward the organization you serve in, the faith community you worship in, the volunteer organization your volunteer in, and the family you belong to. Cultural Humility is a posture that can help leaders lead exceptionally in the areas of #diversity, #equity, #inclusion, and #belonging and navigate the complexity that comes with leading those efforts. I listen, bring clarity, provide support: Apoyo Coaching and Consulting #culturalcompetency #leadershipdevelopment #inclusionmatters #organizationalchange

Free Palestine 🍉 | Strategic Leadership🧭 | Committed to Sustainability and Good Governance 🏛️ | Social Impact Product Manager 🚀 | Tech for Peace 🤖 | Human Rights Defender 🕊️
The most deafening silence emanates from inactive humanitarian leaders and organizations in support of the blight of Palestinians. True humanitarianism requires courage, as it often entails supporting and advocating for the oppressed rather than the oppressor. Neutrality, in this context, means consistently upholding humanitarian principles regardless of factors such as race, religion, or nationality—irrespective of who holds power and whom you stand against. In today's world, effective leadership goes beyond titles and prestige. It demands relevance and sensitivity. True leadership isn't about self-gratification by engaging in projects that merely make you feel good but have no direct impact on the lives of those in need of intentional and focused action; it's about making tangible impacts on the lives of those most in need. For example, spending excessive amounts of money to promote peace as a concept, when those most affected by the absence of peace remain underserved, appears hypocritical and self-indulgent. True leadership entails genuine service to others who require our assistance.

Live and let others live! We owe co-humans the responsibility of letting other people around us breathe. This powerful expression of mutual respect and understanding is a reminder that each of us has the right to our own unique experiences and perspectives. Coexisting peacefully is essential for a thriving community. Let's create a world where differences are celebrated, where individuality is embraced, and where everyone feels safe and empowered to be who they truly are. Celebrate diversity, embrace different cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives. Be kind and respectful, even in disagreement. It's possible to disagree without being disrespectful. By living and letting others live, we can create a more just, equitable, and compassionate world for everyone. Let's strive to listen actively and without judgment, stand up for those who are being marginalized or discriminated against, and live our own truth authentically. #soca #leadership #SCIA #wlgm #ng #SMART #socatv #nja #powerliving #network #changers #people #nextgen #leadership #works #industry #USA #motivation #goalsetting2024

📹 Pls note, In this short video are: Hajia Mariam Sanni Abacha Dame Patience Jonathan Madam Remi Tinubu Mrs Titi Atiku Abubakar _______________________// "It will be interesting to get OPRAH, Stephen Sackur or even Piers Morgan interview these women who are custodians of a vast array of information and knowledge - diplomatic, native, political, familial, cultural, etc. 🎤 While some amongst them display(ed) certain shortcomings & unethical tendencies, the reality is that most people, if presented with similar opportunities might not perform any better. There's 'this' likelihood (speculation) that they are currently mentoring a new generation, who will potentially influence their spouses towards positions of power. 🌟 So, "HOW" can we respond constructively to this situation? ABUSE, CRITICIZE, get angry, take sides ? 🚩rather than resorting to negative reactions like abuse or criticism, let's focus on proactive steps. cos merely expressing fleeting support for cultural movements or perceived 'fallacies' won't solve the issues. 🌍 PLEASE LOOK FOR A WAY to also be INFLUENTIAL via specific fields. Find a sector, be very good there PUSH, PULL, PROBE, POKE and see how you can effect change.... POSITIVE & LONG LASTING CHANGE. 🌱 This is my unpartisan take on these happenings. 🎙️🤷♀ ______// we should not create enmity with one another on behalf of a Political leader.... blessed are peace makers ❤️ #banioore (c) #WomenInPower #LeadershipInsights #ConstructiveEngagement #PositiveChange #InfluenceAndImpact #PoliticalAwareness #CulturalInfluence #DiplomaticLeadership #PeacefulDiscourse #buildingbridges
