HBR & Forbes Featured Expert on Gen Z Corporate Talent // 100+ Speaking Gigs // Keynotes, Consulting, Content Creation // Neurodivergent thinker 🧠
Since I started my solopreneur journey last May, I have: 1) completed 10 speaking gigs 2) landed partnerships with new clients and brands 3) grown my audience to over 21K across platforms 4) collected over 20 in-depth interviews of Gen Zers who love their jobs 5) gotten featured in Forbes, Harvard Business Review, and several others 6) globetrotted all over Israel, Croatia, Dubai, Mexico, and France but I've constantly felt like something was missing... I knew I needed to learn more about building an independent business, but wasn’t sure where to start. Then I found IndeCollective. That's why I'm excited to share that this spring, I'll be joining IndeCollective's 10-week cohort because: 1) the best way to propel me forward is in community 2) Jan Almasy recommended it to me and I admire him deeply, both as a human and business owner 3) My background is in talent engagement and public speaking — not in the aspects of building a successful independent business Recently, I attended a free seminar of theirs where they went over some of the key things I’m going to learn. Some of the most important included … 👀 Productizing my work to stop trading time for money 🤩 Differentiating my brand to attract the right clients 🤑 Pricing my services based on value -- not time 🤝 Building a predictable pipeline of great clients 📈 And streamlining my back office, so I’m freed up for passion projects and people I care about Super excited to turn to IndeCollective for access to the playbooks, mentors, and a supportive community to get on the faster, more reliable path to the results I'm looking for. 🤩 I’m also excited to share that they’re allowing me to offer 5, $1,000 scholarships to their program!!! All you have to do is apply using this link, and you’ll be expedited to the front of their application list: https://lnkd.in/eMCFtnR8 If you’re looking to build momentum for yourself in 2024, come hang out with me and 50+ other independents from around the world as we go through this experience together! #futureofwork #soloprenuer

Edmonton Tech Wednesdays — Week 44 with Nik M., Edmonton Chapter Lead, Careers In Technology and Innovation. Thank you to everyone who came even during this difficult weather, you made this event awesome. A lot of fellow tech enthusiasts who are looking to get their career up and running had the productive 3-hour meetup about how they can leverage their career with the networking and interpersonal skills., how they can develop their career and switch to another role. We had a lot of conversations about sales, business development techniques, how you should start your career at different stages of your life: as a student, as an experienced person or when you are retired. • For students just starting out, we discussed strategies for entering the tech industry, emphasizing the importance of first experience roles and networking events like ours. • For those with more experience, we explored ways to pivot careers or advance to higher roles, highlighting the value of mentorship and continuous learning. • For individuals who are retired but still keen on staying active in the tech scene, we shared ideas on consulting, part-time roles, and ways to share their wealth of knowledge with the younger generation. Heroes of the day who came to the event during the difficult weather are in the video below, make sure to check it out.

If I could go back and talk to my 22- or 24-year-old self, I'd pass on some advice from Saam that has really stuck with me and the students I've worked with, especially those aiming to become founders. Seek out non-linear learning opportunities. He describes a former manager framing out how most jobs offer a year's worth of learning for a year's worth of work. However, good jobs offer three years' worth of learning in the same timeframe. And in exceptional jobs, you can gain a decade's worth of knowledge in just one year. Seek out companies that are growing so rapidly that they need to expand everyone's roles and responsibilities. You can find more insights from Saam here: https://lnkd.in/gPdx2qQD I genuinely believe that startups offer the most significant potential for non-linear growth. They provide unique ownership opportunities that often go beyond years of experience or job titles. Please share our link with any students seeking internships or full-time positions at startups. https://lnkd.in/ggAJ7YsF

EOS Integrator Evangelist Helping Closet Integrators Realize their Potential | Netweaver | ENRG Leader | Improve Your Image, Weekly Through Better Landscaping | Enneagram 3 | CI: Technical Expert | About Section is TL;DR
All you Integrators for companies running on EOS, I have a suggestion for you. Had several people introduce me to a local college MBA candidate that wanted to get real world business experience before he graduates to figure out what areas of business he wants to spend his career. He was introduced to EOS and the Integrator role by a mentor and was intrigued by the position. Happens to be a student at my alma mater University of Mobile so that helped make it a great fit for me. Decided about two months ago to take him on an Integrator Intern. Game changer is an understatement. So many times as Integrators we find ourselves in multiple seats and lots of projects to effect change in the organization. How great would it be to have an Intern by your side that wants to learn everything they can about business in the real world? What if you could delegate projects to them or components of projects that free you up to focus on other areas of the business and move faster on initiatives to improve the business. Thanks Caiden Bennett for jumping into the deep end and learning business in the real world rather than relying only on a degree without seeing how to apply it. You will do well wherever you go, but no one can steal you for a while from me. Any Integrators want to know how I make this work, send me a message. https://lnkd.in/eSXBq-6w

The value of building a network and building relationships cannot be overstated. Our summer intern Lucia Cavalluzzi (incoming University of California, Berkeley sophomore) recorded this amazing video explaining why she disagrees with Suzy Welch on the subject.
