This recognition reflects Novartis's ambitious goals to reduce our own emissions, as well as our commitment to helping our suppliers become more energy efficient and reduce their emissions. Out of over 5000 of the world's largest and most influential companies assessed, the top 500 were awarded based on revenue, market capitalization, and public prominence. #News: A survey of more than 800 #biopharma executives shows that #sustainability has become an increasingly important priority but that companies are struggling to achieve it and as a result are putting their business at risk. The study—which was conducted by the Danaher Corporation Corporation’s research and manufacturing subsidiary Cytiva and by Financial Times research unit FT Longitude —tabulated the input of execs from firms in 18 different countries. Of the respondents, 26% hold C-suite roles and 30% represent companies that generate more than $1 billion in annual revenue. “We want to drive a conversation around innovation and strategy on sustainability,” Emmanuel Abate , #Cytiva’s sustainability and corporate responsibility chief, said in a release. “These findings highlight where we as an industry must collaborate and push for better progress and prove the benefits of delivering on sustainability targets to employees, customers, and investors.” Read more from Fierce Pharma 👇🏽 https://lnkd.in/eZmEfrKg

Recently, I came across an insightful article shedding light on the environmental impact of supply chain activities especially in biopharma, it revealed that over 70% of emissions from life sciences and healthcare companies originate within their supply chains.   My biggest takeaway and what's truly inspiring here, is the proactive approach many biopharma organizations are taking to address these challenges. Through initiatives aimed at reducing emissions, improving water quality, and fostering sustainable value chains, companies are demonstrating a genuine commitment to sustainability. I encourage you to take the time to read it and reflect on it. We're proud to be highlighted in our customer Henkel's recent sustainability report. Our collaboration has resulted in the development of new, high-performance biosolutions for Henkel's detergents and cleaning agents. As Henkel noted in their Sustainability Report: “We established a successful cooperation in the area of raw materials, for example, with our enzyme supplier Novozymes. Enzymes are important high-performance ingredients used in our detergents and cleaning agents. Within the framework of a long-term initiative with Novozymes, we have developed new variants for the main solid and liquid enzymes over the past few years, while increasing their concentration by up to 40 percent.” Learn more below. #biosolutions #collaboration #sustainability
