WE all have a purpose in this life. Waking up grateful every day is crucial in my life; even if I struggled the day before with physical pain, disappointments, not meeting my goals for the day, getting beat down emotionally by other people’s pain, I have to be grateful. I ask God to use me to get His will accomplished and give me the strength to get through the rough patches. If I am not careful, I will use yesterday’s pain for today's perspective. My journey is not like yours, and yours is unique, too. I am NOT perfect. I have my flaws like everyone else. But I am willing to go deep inside myself and work on those deep wounds, air them out so they can heal. It is a process that cannot be put on a schedule or timeline. I don’t know how God is going to use me, I just show up and connect with people, then He opens the doors and provides the means. I end up in places I never imagined, meeting people who are not just good people; they are extraordinary people. I get asked all the time, what is it that motivates me? My answer is simple… I want to see people heal. Greed, envy, jealousy, hate, ego, pride are all traits in our human nature. But these things will not be motivating what I do. I know about Restorative Justice, Transformative Justice. I am learning about Healing Justice, and I know because I have good teachers, like Cory Greene, who take the time to invite us into sacred spaces where there is a profound feeling of love in the room.
