I do wonder why we need critical thinking for almost everything nowadays. Heard of ‘biting off more than one can chew’? We need to revive those old proverbs.

I enjoyed this article. I would like to see the scientific stats or the research paper though. For instance the number of people, the demographic and regions which this study attributed to being found at this as the outcome, it’s this was a longitude study with the participants as well as how the intended solutions provisioned successful rate of burnout and over collaboration as well as the said businesses still achieved success. I am also interested to see results of those who applied these suggested strategies and their success rate compared to those who failed to apply and their success rate with both outcomes aligned to the respective projects /business success rates. However, I do agree with the overall thinking, but eager to understand if this is just a western, eastern, European, etc problem, which would enable the further social psychological study of behaviour to enable more adaptations in behaviour for success. It would also be interesting if this was tied to specific personality traits? Thus combining behaviour and personality psychology, for identifying if your prone to this type of behaviour. Thank you for sharing though.

Many triggers resonated with me here. Great advice!

What an interesting point of view! This is good to consider.

This is a thought-provoking perspective. Often, it's important to step back and reflect on our own behaviors and actions. It's not always easy, but taking responsibility can be the first step towards significant growth and progress.

Who knew our well-meaning desire to help could be a culprit in collaboration overload? Identifying our triggers is key!

I really identified with wanting to not be labeled as a lazy coworker or lack of productivity. Most work environments encourage competitiveness and output while reducing staff. It is it manigable? I know I need to work on expectation management about reasonable work goals and my own expectations.

Great article. I recently read the book Essentialism and realized how much time we waste on unnecessary tasks that harm our performance.
