The smile on Jeff True 's face after Seize the Grey ran away with the 2024 Preakness Stakes, inspired me to plough my humble winnings into Caldera. It took less than 2 minutes on MyRacehorse to become a fractional shareholder of this promising colt. A whopping 0.008% at that...but that's all it takes to learn and enjoy the sport and the excitement of wagering. As the South African horse racing industry faces ongoing headwinds, the following remains true. In order for the tides to rise, to raise all ships, all stakeholders need to be transformative and move on from antiquated UX's. Transformation effort and investment cannot fall onto one category of stakeholder. It is fantastic that the three operators have strong shareholder support allowing them to add new revenue streams (in addition to tote and content distribution) and improve their on-track propositions. These efforts are much needed to grow the sport, however.... declining horse populations and a lack of an increase in racehorse owners, is a universal problem to all industry stakeholders. I would encourage all SA horse racing industry stakeholders to take time to look beyond their inward facing efforts and be inspired by initiatives like MyRacehorse, and to collaborate with each other to make sure the tide does not fall for all.

Recoil Racing The best promotion for my brand has always been proving my products in real life, the recent test mule for the last 12 months has been the 2024 C8 Z06, which to date through the stages of R&D has successfully proven to be faster in many areas, including, 1/8th & 1/4 mile racing, dig racing, roll racing, Roadcorse racing, and, 60-130 acceleration, while maintaining normal daily driven reliability, and everyday use. My team and I have now been able to offer multiple stages of upgrades for this platform, while still being aware of the areas we see need improvement outside of horsepower, shifting our focus toward suspension, handling, and braking, as the increase in power starts to tax these areas, only opening the door to strengthen any weak link we come across. The goal is to offer improvements to all components that can’t KEEP UP after we have that extra RECOIL on tap. We’ve got to finish out the month strong with the following planned events so we can get to it on the above mentioned areas we see can still use some help. Next up. Texas Mile Oct 12 Half mile competition Oct 19 TOP SPEED testing…oct 26 After that, it’s time to start digging in deep on the internals. camshaft/cylinder head alterations, compression adjustments, ect… The 5.5 flatplane crank v8 shines best in Naturally aspirated format which is derived from F1 technology, and we plan to keep it that way. 8400rpm is awesome.
