Today in Jamaica, we are all trying to get prepared for hurricane Beryl. The pictures and videos have shown how devastating it was for our Caribbean neighbours and so we manage the anxiety of what is to come. Like the unknown of this pending hurricane, business has it's share of unexpected events which may catch you off guard. While the strategies I coach on are proven to work, there are times I need divine direction to handle an unforseen issue. I would love to tell you that I have all the answers and could very well be diplomatic in saying that when the impossible situations arise, I simply pivot but the truth is when I run into a roadblock, I pray for divine direction and this strategy has never failed me. #consultant #freelancesalesmanager #gracedforimpact #businessgrowthtips #salescoach #christiansalescoach #growthmindset #goddependent

Hurricane season is here! ...And starts during National Safety Month The first tropical storm of the season named Alberto is approaching Mexico and TX. Please keep your thoughts and prayers for everyone that is in risk this season. I never realized the true impact of hurricane's until I moved to South Carolina and actually had to evacuate. Initially, I thought we could hunker down and get through it but after witnessing the strong winds it is definitely safer to evacuate. We are working with a lot of companies to help them build out best practices for lone workers and keep employees confident and safe. DM if you are willing to share your best practices or if you are interested to hear how other companies are approaching. Watch Meteorologist John Morales breaking down while reporting about Hurricane Milton - while describing the magnitude of Now Category 5 Hurricane Milton on Monday. (It has the potential to be classified as Category 6!) https://lnkd.in/gYWbY7jf A heat wave in the Gulf of Mexico contributed to Hurricane Milton's rapid intensification. Climate change is making these hurricanes worse. Unusual number of those storms have made landfall in the U.S. in recent times. #hurricanemilton #milton #climateaction #climatechange

This week is a good reminder of how important it is to have a plan for hurricane season. Take some time this week to make sure you have a hurricane evacuation plan. The first thing you need to do is find out if you live in a storm surge hurricane evacuation zone or if you’re in a home that would be unsafe during a hurricane. If you are, figure out where you’d go and how you’d get there if told to evacuate. You do not need to travel hundreds of miles. Identify someone, perhaps a friend or relative who doesn’t live in an evacuation zone or unsafe home, and coordinate with them to use their home as your evacuation destination. Be sure to account for your pets, as most local shelters do not permit them. Put the plan in writing for you and those you care about. Are you ready for the next natural disaster? The recent hurricane was a wake-up call for me. If Hurricane Helene had followed her original path, I wouldn't be writing this post. I realized I was not as prepared as I thought. My new goal - prepare! prepare! prepare! #DisasterPreparedness #SafetyFirst
