YOU CAN CHANGE THE NARRATIVE I had a conversation with a friend some time ago. He told me how he didn't like the way many people 'downgraded' the higher institution he graduated from. Most often, his institution was referred to as a 'low-class' school. He felt that was inappropriate and rude. I gave him the audience to pour out his grievances, and then told him what my own opinion was. I told him my experiences with many students from his own institution and how those students proved the notion right. I also talked about some other persons I met who proved the notion wrong based on their own individual choices and decisions. I concluded by stating that he could change the narrative if he was ready to. .................................................................................. People's perception about you and everything called yours majorly depends on how you project yourself. People can only draw conclusions (whether good or bad) based on what they've seen or experienced overtime. Therefore, it is left to you if that bad narrative people have about would change or not. Be the positive agent of change. Add value to yourself. Keep building capacity. You can change the narrative!
