Standing Firm for the Future of Our Children In a world where the early years of childhood lay the foundation for lifelong success, it is not only our responsibility but our moral duty to stand up for the rights and well-being of every child. Important: At this moment, the following programs are actively advocating for the Cincinnati, Ohio community. You can support their efforts by making a donation. Much like the struggles of past generations who fought for justice and equality, today, we must be vigilant in our pursuit of educational equity for all children, regardless of their background. The fight for quality early childhood education is the fight for a brighter, more equitable future. "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." These words, written from a place of deep conviction and sacrifice, resonate now as they did decades ago. We cannot afford to be silent or passive in the face of inequity. We must actively engage, educate, and advocate for policies that ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive. Let this be our call to action. Let us channel our passion, our expertise, and our collective voices into ensuring that all children receive the early education they deserve. Let us stand together, as allies and advocates, in the ongoing battle for justice in education. Website: https://lnkd.in/dCD_4eTJ Join us in this crucial work. Together, we can make a difference. #EducationForAll #Advocacy #EarlyChildhoodEducation #EquityInEducation #4cforchildren #chatgptpt #chatgpt

Advocate for Adult Learning and Workforce Development | Building Strong Educational Programs and Community Partnerships
A mother's reading skill is the foremost predictor of her children's academic success, eclipsing factors like neighborhood and family income. This underscores a powerful truth: supporting adult education, especially for mothers, echoes far beyond individual achievement—it's an investment in the fabric of our families and the scaffolding of our society. 👩👧👦 Family Impact: Enhancing literacy in adults, particularly mothers (or primary caregivers), sets a trajectory for children’s educational paths, instilling early literacy and a passion for learning. 🌈 Societal Benefits: Educated parents pave the way for brighter futures, breaking cycles of poverty and fostering a culture of learning that benefits entire communities. This Advocacy April, let's amplify our support for adult learners. Elevating adult education strengthens families, enriches communities, and lays the groundwork for our collective future. #AdvocacyApril #AdultEducation #FamilyLiteracy Coalition on Adult Basic Education Erin Vobornik

Family literacy and numeracy practices are paramount when predicting a child's success in school. Caretakers in the home have the ability to model life-changing literacy and numeracy practices in their day-to-day interactions with the children they care for. Estimating how many jumps it will take to get to the end of the driveway or reading street signs out loud with your child can help them develop applied literacy and numeracy practices in their everyday lives. Every parent and every caretaker has the ability to create patterns of resilience, persistence and problem-solving skills when they read with and engage in math skills with their child. These skills are not only important for school, but they are important for navigating adulthood as well! #AdultEducation works to help parents and caretakers recover the skills that they missed to help spark success in the generations after them. Adult education is an investment in our nation's future as it nurtures the family literacy and numeracy practices that predict future child success. #AdultEducationMatters #Investment #AdvocacyApril Sharon Bonney

"I have previously written an article on the importance of parental involvement in a child’s education. However, in the current climate, where many students are learning from home, I feel it is vital to reiterate the significance of parents taking an active role in their child’s education. It is not enough to rely solely on teachers to provide education; parents must also be involved. There are many ways for parents to get involved, including attending parent-teacher conferences, volunteering at school, helping with homework, and having regular communication with teachers. By working together, parents and teachers can create successful partnerships that contribute to a child’s academic and social development." #ParentalInvolvement #AcademicSuccess #ParentTeacherPartnerships #VolunteerAtSchool #HomeworkHelp #RegularCommunication #ChildDevelopment #EducationStrategies #FamilyEngagement #SchoolSuccess #SupportiveParents #StudentGrowth #PositiveSchoolEnvironment #TeacherCollaboration #MexitNews

The Florida Family Literacy Initiative, a program of the Florida Literacy Coalition with support from the Kislak Family Foundation, provides funding to help Florida schools and educational programs to establish or expand upon family literacy programs in their communities. Nonprofit organizations or government-based agencies (such as school districts and state or community colleges) that provide adult ESL or family literacy instruction via classes, small groups, or one-to-one tutoring are eligible to apply. For grant purposes, family literacy programs should include the following three components: 1) adult basic education and literacy or English as a second language skills training for parents or caregivers, 2) age-appropriate educational activities for children, and 3) interactive literacy activities between parents and children.Call 516.410.4895, or email [email protected] for a free fee quote to have us write your entire proposal, or edit your draft, for a reasonable flat fee. https://lnkd.in/eJHNFQRS Bev Browning Holly Rustick

Children perform better in school when their families are interested in their education. Children perform better in school when they have good attendance. Children perform better in school when their caregivers talk to their teachers and advocate for their needs. Children perform better in school when their caregivers read with them at home. And yet, such involvement is often a challenge for parents and caregivers who are juggling multiple jobs and navigating language and cultural barriers. So, here's to the donors committed to helping schools and families overcome those barriers, which is critical to the pandemic learning-loss puzzle. #Education #Literacy #StudentSuccess #FamilyEngagement

We have a collective responsibility to our children, to our communities , and to future generations. "A core principle of child development is the strong belief that the developing child is shaped by their family, the surrounding community and the policies that affect them," writes SCEC Senior Advisor Joan Lombardi. "There is something special that happens in a community when people pull together across programs and services and work for a common goal." But how do we make sure the “community early childhood systems” in our neighborhoods are working towards the right goal, and are adequately funded? https://lnkd.in/gKKiS6dQ
