We should look at past accidents and incident’s before moving forward. Present aircraft are designed for a two man crew. Is a single pilot able to cope with a cascade of failures? All aircraft are man made and are not exempt from human error or failures. Law makers and airlines should be cautious before moving forward. How are future pilots going to get experience if they are alone in the flight deck ? It’s not a video game when piloting an aircraft.

So what do Aircraft Dispatchers really do?

In the US, there are approximately 5,000 public use airports and approximately 3,000 of them are designated for general aviation (GA). Although these airports tend to have less traffic and smaller budgets than their larger commercial counterparts, they are still responsible for complying with FAA regulations as well as ensuring the safety of passengers and crew. The lighting needs of GA airports are also distinct from those of their commercial counterparts.
