🎄We are fast approaching the holiday season and whilst for many this is a time of family, friends, and joy, it can also bring feelings of stress, overwhelm, isolation and loneliness. If you’re struggling, you’re not alone. Here are some tips to help you cope: 🦋 Reach Out: Connect with loved ones, even if its just a phone call or facetime. 🦋 Set Realistic Expectations: Don’t feel pressured to make the perfect holiday for everyone around you – financially or with time and effort. 🦋 Practice Self-Compassion: Be kind to yourself and avoid self-criticism. 🦋 Set Boundaries: Don’t feel obligated to attend every social event. It’s okay to spend time alone. 🦋 Engage in Meaningful Activities: Do things you enjoy or volunteer some time. 🦋 Seek Professional Help: If you’re feeling overwhelmed, consider talking to your GP or call one of the helplines available. Remember, its okay to not be okay. ☎️ If you are struggling and need to talk to someone please reach out to @headspace_aus on 1800 650 890 or @beyondblueofficial on 1300 224 636 #beyondblue #mentalhealthawareness #headspace #tilennistiles #makingthecomplexsimple #perthaccounting
