𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐛! We all want to book/work consistently. However, this isn’t realistic and often leads to 𝐟𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 and 𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬. What helped me the most was *𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠* 𝐦𝐲 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞. ➜ A VO mentor once told me: “𝐓𝐡𝐞 *𝐣𝐨𝐛* 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠; 𝐭𝐡𝐞 *𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝* 𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠!” Just like with an iceberg, the tip is all you see but there's so much more beneath the surface/behind the scenes. This fundamentally 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐝 the way I approached my work. >> Not only was it a way of honing my skills but it also showed me where I should be putting more of my effort, concentration, and time. Treat the audition *as* the job rather than a stepping stone *to* the job! 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭?

I train teams and individuals on their communications and connecting with others. As a standup comedian and former Human Resources manager, I HAVE TO be excellent at making people feel good and understand me clearly. It's no secret that good communication skills impact revenue and morale. It's a crucial skill to constantly develop personally and professionally. For individuals we have a 4-week program that helps them improve their skills in public speaking, selling, connecting, active listening, humor, kindness and overcoming conflict and objections. I use the art of improv to make the experience enjoyable and engaging. Also there is a lot of of research around the benefits of humor, quick thinking and creativity. Our April program just ended (yes, we do a graduation showcase because I'm extra like that lol!)... and I deeply believe that people who invest in themselves and complete what they've started should be celebrated. The introduction and conclusion consists of Greetings, About ourself, Educational details, Family details, Technical details, About the project, Strengths, Hobbies, Short- term and long-term goals and finally Conclusion. 👉 In Day-2 we have learnt about parts of speech – There are 9 parts of speech they are: Noun, Pronoun, Verb, Adverb, Adjective, Preposition, Conjunction, Interjection and Articles. Next we have learnt about the basic knowledge we have know about company when we attend a interview, The necessary things are – Founder and CEO of the company, Main head quarters and locations, Company revenue, Year of establish and Why we choose this company?. Later we have written sentences on top 100 prepositions. 👉 In Day-3 we have learnt about Group Discussion and Debate. GD – GD is co-operative group process and Debate – Competitive in nature. Also we have learnt about Difference between GD and Debate, Rules of GD, Rules of Debate, Topics of GD and Topics of Debate. Later we learnt about Time Management – Realizing the value of time : Whom we can ask the value of 1year, 1month, 1week, 1day, 1min, 1sec, 1millisecond. 👉 In Day-4 we have learnt about Interview skills and FAQ’s in interview. 👉 In Day-5 we have learnt about on which activity we are wasting our time and we have also learnt some more topics in time management like – Do now, Plan to do, Reject and Explain, Resist and Seize, Overcoming procrastination, Time wasters and Time savers.

😳 What most beginner speakers get wrong about growing their speaking career: When you’re just starting out in your speaking career, it’s tempting to think that if you just have really awesome content, you’ll eventually make it into the big leagues. But really awesome content alone is only half the equation. You also need impeccable stage presence. Charisma. That ~ je ne sais quoi ~ stage swagger. Do you have that? Or know somebody who does? 24th Jul2024, it's our very 1st in-house trainers (Sha, Siti, Yen & Zin Xi) collaboration in continuation delivery of "Build Your Best You (BYBY)" programme to the wider group of employees. I've learned my personality type, get a better understanding of what others personality styles/preferences that help me doing better in my day-to-day job, along with having great thoughts and consideration overview especially communication across the community. From my view, each personality as a magnet that adds charm and elegance to our body and soul.
