🌟 Let's Talk Networking: In-Person vs. Online! 🤝💻 Hey, fabulous entrepreneurs! I'm excited to dive into an important topic today: networking in the digital age. 💼✨ In our fast-paced world, networking can happen both in-person and online. So, let's explore the pros and cons of each and how you can make the most of both avenues! 🚀💬 1. In-Person Networking: There's nothing quite like face-to-face interaction. In-person events allow for genuine connections, meaningful conversations, and the opportunity to showcase your personality and passion. 2. Online Networking: The digital realm offers unparalleled reach and accessibility. Online platforms allow you to connect with a wider audience, participate in virtual events, and engage with industry leaders from the comfort of your own home. 3. Balance is Key: Don't limit yourself to just one avenue of networking. Embrace both in-person and online opportunities to diversify your network and maximize your exposure. 4. Quality Over Quantity: Whether you're networking in-person or online, focus on building quality connections rather than amassing a large number of contacts. Nurture relationships, offer value, and prioritize genuine interactions. 5. Stay Authentic: Whether you're mingling at a networking event or engaging on social media, always be true to yourself. Authenticity is key to building trust and rapport with your network, regardless of the platform. So, which do you prefer: in-person networking or online networking? Why Networking Is Your Most Powerful Growth Tool and How to Use It Think of networking not as a chore of exchanging business cards but as the art of weaving a web of genuine connections... Ever wondered why it feels so pivotal? Imagine a door to a world you've never seen. That's your network. New jobs, thrilling partnerships, and markets you didn't even know existed—they're all just a handshake away... When we share what we know, it's like mixing colors on a palette—you end up with shades you've never seen before. This blend of insights and ideas? It's rocket fuel for your growth, both personally and professionally. Ever heard, "You don't know what you don't know"? That's where mentors come in. They're the lighthouses guiding us through uncharted waters, and networking brings them within reach... Trust—it's the currency in the realm of connections. The more your network believes in you, the more doors swing open, revealing paths you never knew were there... And let's talk about confidence. Every chat, every meeting, it's like stepping up to the plate. The more you swing, the better you get, setting you up for the grand slams. So, how do we network like a pro? Be real. Authentic connections beat convenience every time. Dive deep, not wide. Always bring something to the table. It's not about what you can take, but what you can give. Make your mark by being the person who lifts others up. Choose wisely. Not every gathering will light your fire. Find the ones that matter, the ones that resonate, and let the digital world expand your horizons. Keep the spark alive. A simple "congrats" or "thinking of you" can turn a fleeting encounter into a bond for life. See, networking, when done with heart, isn't just about building a network—it's about nurturing a family that roots for you, grows with you, and cheers you on every step of the way. Step in with the desire to enrich this family, and you'll be amazed at how the world opens its arms in response. Dive into networking with all you've got, and let's make magic happen together. Drop a comment if this strikes a chord with you!

HOW DO WE GROW OUR NETWORKS?? INTENTIONALITY! Lookup networking events near you or online that are relevant to your field or interests. Believe me there are tons. In most cases you can just show up or register beforehand. Not only will you meet some amazing connections, but you also learn from the material presented. I try to attend at least 2 to 3 in a week. As a result, I typically leave with new industry information, business leads, follow up meetings with potential partners, and a bagel🥯 😂 Now look, I know you're thinking, "Jay, but I'm not a good speaker!" Remember INTENTIONALITY! Practice saying who you are, what you do, what you love! Networking isn't new, just intimidating when you've never done it before. Networking is often viewed as a necessary evil in the world of business, but what if we changed that perception a bit? Imagine walking into a bustling marketplace instead of a cold conference room. Vendors are chatting, exchanging tips, and building relationships—not just exchanging business cards. This vivid picture can be a reality through networking. A recent article caught my eye, highlighting the undeniable benefits of small business networking. Here are a few takeaways that resonated with me and might just inspire you to rethink your networking strategy: - Community Engagement: Have you checked out the professional groups in your area? Engaging with local organizations like the Chamber of Commerce can open doors to invaluable connections right in your backyard. - Host to Connect: Ever thought about hosting your events? Organizing workshops or seminars boosts your credibility, positions you as a local expert, and attracts potential clients and collaborators to your space. - Referrals as a Two-Way Street: It's important to ask for referrals, but equally vital to give them. Networking isn’t just about what you can get; it’s about mutual growth and support. - Joint Ventures: Collaborating with other businesses can exponentially increase your reach and resources. Partnerships can lead to creative solutions and shared success. - Embrace Digital Networking: In our digital world, connecting online is just as valuable. Build relationships through social platforms, then take the plunge to meet in person. Networking is like planting seeds in a garden. You sow connections with patience and care, and over time, you’ll cultivate relationships that bloom into opportunities and growth. Let's open up the conversation! How have you leveraged networking in your business journey? Have you found success in local events, or perhaps in joint ventures? Share your stories and observations—I'd love to hear them! https://lnkd.in/g7e5BEv2

Networking isn't going to work in 2024 No I am not giving any bold statement, but it's a truth, a picture of networking that needs to be removed before everyone who think: - Networking = Outreaching - Networking = Selling - Networking = Comments It's like you're just pushing your own advantages in every kind of conversation. The thing is networking is about making a connection, that includes 'n Making things easier for each other 'n Walking together towards goals 'n Giving them a good memory And you can't do any of them just by thinking of your benefits! ➡️ Give a reason to them to talk to you ➡️ Have a conversation on their problems ➡️ Build the trust by keeping your business aside for a while And No, you don't have to be over-friendly, mocking or teasing to get them involved, Your thoughts, opinions and intelligence should be enough! So it's not networking that will bring you clients, but ✅ Patience ✅ Knowledge ✅ Selflessness Your win is in a win-win collaboration! But, it's a whole cycle that starts from a conversation that feels more like a doctor, teacher, therapist or classmate rather than a seller 🙌 P.S. What would you rate your health out of 10?

Networking is Overrated. Instead of spending your time in endless meetings, focus on building something great. Here’s why: 👇 1. Build and Become Valuable: - Go do something great and your network will emerge. If you build a great product or service, you will attract the right people and opportunities. 2.Strategic Networking - Use networking for recruitment and learning. Find and attract top talent, and connect with industry experts and mentors for valuable insights. Ensure these interactions are mutually beneficial. 3. Selective Engagement - Attend events selectively. Focus on those that align with your goals and where you can genuinely add value. Avoid networking for networking’s sake. Make every interaction purposeful. 4. Networking is Overrated - Focus on building value, and let your work speak for itself. Real connections will come from genuine achievements, not from superficial networking efforts. Want to dive deeper? Myth: Networking is about you getting something. Reality: Networking is about them getting something. If you’re a people pleaser, you’ve probably hated the idea of networking because you’re afraid of taking up someone else’s space without their permission. So many of my clients start here. But they become networking ninjas at lightning speed because they internalize this belief: I bring value to every conversation I’m in. Networking isn’t about you. It’s about giving someone new the opportunity to know you. - It’s about building a new relationship that will help them as much as it’s going to help you. - It’s about striking up a conversation with someone where you’re going to give them space to talk about themselves. So if you want to get out of your own way with networking, start with the belief that you’re a valuable person to know. With that power, you’ll attract, not detract. P.S. If you’re ready to make networking your superpower, I’ve got you! I spend my days helping my amazing clients hone their positioning so they can maximize their networking efforts and get their foot in the door. Follow along here for more valuable guidance!
