Streaming database change events (CDC) into #apacheiceberg is a hot topic these days. Watch last week's webinar recording, where Victoria Bukta dives deep on the subject, using Debezium as a streaming source. https://lnkd.in/grhWxv8Q

Is UDP used for live streaming? Yes, this is only true for a part. But for proper live streaming, we need the best combination of TCP and UDP. TCP is used for loading titles, images, and comments. where as UDP is used for streaming. #noNameChats

#dezoomcamp The last 6th homework about streaming. Excellent deep dive into streaming tools: - Rising Wave (absolutely new one for me) - Kafka (red panda) - Spark streaming The most interesting part of homework is practicing such tools and to play with functions

Polars can process larger-than-memory time series datasets with streaming. However, the group_by_dynamic method is not supported with streaming but regular groupby is. However, you can instead often transform the datetime column to capture your groups and then do regular groupby

I had a great time at #Current24 last week talking about consistency and streaming, and why you care should about it. In case you missed it... the recording is now live! ✨ In the talk, I cover a few things: 🚨 why eventual consistency is a particularly weak guarantee when you're working with streaming data 🚨 how exactly-once guarantees don't actually tell us anything about the correctness of the outputs of our streaming data ✅ what you get when you build with a streaming system that offers stricter guarantees (all the way up to strict serializability), instead Catch up on the conversation here (and let me know what you think!): https://lnkd.in/e7XbMyV6

Exploring the Dynamics of Streaming Databases https://lnkd.in/d93uHzr7 In previous articles, we’ve discussed the basics of stream processing and how to choose a stream processing system. In this article, we’ll describe what a streaming database is, as it is the core component of a stream processing system. We'll also provide some commercially available solutions to make an informative choice if you need to choose one.

Using Wireshark to Solve a Video Streaming Problem In this example we were trying to determine how an IP camera was streaming to the NVR. Trust me it wasn’t obvious at all. https://lnkd.in/eRyDsTaV #wireshark

Is streaming raw files a good or bad idea? It depends, as consultants used to say 😉 Streaming files instead of a streaming broker involves a heavy metadata operation to retrieve the data to read. Assuming that a streaming job is a long running one, the performances for this action will probably be worse each day. Besides, the consumer can't start processing the data as long as the producer doesn't write the file fully. Again, it's different from a streaming broker data source where a record becomes available as soon as it lands on the stream. You can feel here a conceptual difference that could be seen as a batch- vs. element-based processing. More details in the new blog post: https://lnkd.in/ekm_nH3s Happy reading! #dataengineering #streaming #streamprocessing Bartosz.

How long does it take to setup SelfReflect? About 18 seconds total from install -> download -> to streaming data. The last game-breaking bug is fixed. Now it’s just tweaking the last few blendshapes/bone options for the eyes.
