#Coleadership? At GIZ, this is part of our day-to-day business. Katja Kammerer and Irina Scheffmann, for example, successfully head up the Commissioning Parties Division at GIZ for two years. However, both lead their own team and have their own area of responsibility. The advantages of this dual leadership are obvious: with different perspectives and horizons of experience, professional, agile and creative working environments can be created. We are performing glocal - global and local - in the topics of transformation and leadership development

Hidden (leadership) talents often lie dormant within our own ranks.    The shortage of skilled workers is also a topic at Hermes Fulfilment DACH, and recruiting leaders is proving to be difficult in light of this. To cope with these challenges every year, 20 #employees recommended by an advocate are trained in several workshops and introduced to the tasks of a #leader in the "Talentschmiede" (Talent Forge):    The program consists of 3 modules:    1. Introduction to the leadership role  2. Communication and conversation management  3. Key figures and personnel planning    "It has personally brought me a lot – for example, in terms of body language, posture, presence, and impact. I am usually a more reserved person," says Annika Schmidt, who is working as a team leader in shipping since March 1st.    The whole program is rounded off by workshops, job shadowing, seminars, and the support of a mentor from the #leadership level, who is there to assist during the training. Step by step, participants are guided towards their new role.    Personally, I am very pleased to see that the program has been so well received that it was expanded to four additional Hermes Fulfilment locations. THE FUTURE OF PEOPLE IN AGRICULTURE Yesterday, I gave a Keynote on "The Future of People in Agriculture". - 1 in 7 people in Rural America needs to become a leader in order to replace the leaders headed out - Generational family farms and ranches are being sold left and right - Labor shortages are affecting our small and local businesses This keynote goes over how there is a bit of a lack of leadership in our rural/agricultural communities and gives 3 actionable steps on how to step into becoming the leader of your own life. Not only because it will benefit your own life, but because it will benefit literally everyone around you. Agriculture is in a vulnerable spot because we often avoid hard conversations, expressing our true feelings, and sitting in the uncomfortable. But it doesn't have to be this way.
