With the Paris Olympic Games now at an end, they’ve proven to be more than just a sporting event—they’ve been a significant economic boost for France. With over 10 million visitors, tourism surged, contributing an estimated €1.5 billion to hospitality, retail, and local attractions. The Games also created around 250,000 jobs, from construction to event management, providing a major lift to the economy. Stories like Simone Biles coming back strong after facing immense pressure, or Katie Ledecky defending her title with unmatched determination, highlight the incredible mental and physical strength of these athletes. These moments remind me that with perseverance and a strong will, we can overcome any obstacle. This first post Paris Olympics week is still carrying the buzz of excitement and inspiration! What was it about this Olympics that had many of us at hello?! Paris’ historic beauty is undeniable. In collaboration with the greatest sporting event on this planet, it was the first Olympics with full gender parity and delivered across 32 sports many magnificent moments, heartbreaking defeats, moving stories of the athlete’s pilgrimage to get there, fun entertainment (Snoop Dogg did not disappoint!), excellent “play by play” coverage and unity. For all of the upheaval in various parts of the world, the ability of the global sports communities to come together in respect and support, even in the throes of intense competition, was a master class in how to do it. -Lift one another up and celebrate the achievements -Learn from the experiences -Recognize the generations of Olympic athletes who came before and paved the way to be better, along with the competitors who pushed the level of performances to the highest and best in the moment -Appreciate all of it and the village of people who were an integral part of the journey While there were issues; some that could be quickly addressed and resolved, some that required an alternate plan and others that are still smarting from a questionable decision, the 2024 Paris Olympic Games captured our heart's and broke many records. #ParisOlympics #WaytogoUSA #lovewhatyoudo #teamwork #healthandwellbeing #LA2028

How we transformed a summer of sport through technology.... please read on. For the past few months, sport fans everywhere have been engaged with a summer of sport – from grass courts and a festival of sport in Paris. Whether you watched from the sidelines or on-screen, the stories of triumph have been unmatched. We’re proud to say that through our tech and digital transformations, we’ve been right there, helping the LTA, Team GB and ParalympicsGB further advance their impact this summer. Here's a small recap of some of the things we’ve worked on… 🎾 We worked with the LTA to transform tennis using technology, bringing an organisation with over 100 years of history to new people and new places. This included improving website accessibility, to how you book a court, and introducing the LTA’s first membership programme to make tennis more relevant, accessible and enjoyable for everyone. In the last year alone, we’ve welcomed over 2.1m new players, signed up 23,176 teachers, and seen a 31% increase on community park courts. We did this through our Global campaign, ‘The First Effect’, which we co-created with the International Olympic Committee – IOC to recognise the impact made by ‘firsts’ in the sporting world. We also worked with alliance partner, Salesforce, to implement new technology and systems to help both organisations capture, connect and retain their fans.   💭 We created a digital experience called Mindscape that takes people inside the mind of an athlete to understand what it really takes to be a champion. These ingredients will mean everything- and nothing- once THE FLAME glows over Paris as we witness the latest edition of a most universal encounter. This will be everything but a “Cheap Trick”. Before wokey naysayers (rarest breed in the wonderfully enigmatic country that is France 😜) move to “cancel” it with accusations of being an “egregious show of financial waste”, warn of logistical chaos & mayhem, or throw shade on it as “rich-country hubris only fit for geopolitical size queens”, let’s consider the potential of the PARIS 2024 OLYMPIC GAMES to: • Inspire an entire new generation born this side of Y2K, •Create opportunities for athletes, small businesses and communities in France, and • Leave a positive, lasting mark on humanity’s collective consciousness.
