Flexibility, comfort, freedom? Remote jobs can offer all of that, but… Not enough people are asking themselves these 5 questions before taking a remote job: 1️⃣ Can you stay motivated without supervision? 2️⃣ Do you work well with virtual communication like emails and video calls? 3️⃣ Can you effectively manage your time independently? 4️⃣ Will working remotely lead to feeling isolated and lonely? 5️⃣ Do you possess the necessary technology to work remotely? Great questions and major considerations. Both my wife and I have worked for separate companies, from home, since beginning of Covid. She has the option to go to the office...I do not. I sometimes miss that option and can feel isolated. That is far from my biggest challenge, after all, I'm in CPG... Don't underestimate the value of the small and quick conversations you can have grabbing coffee or waiting for the microwave. You can be "seen" and cc'd on every e-mail but having 30 seconds to ask how the week is going, ask/answer urgent questions, or commiserate over a tough project or customer 😉 is invaluable.

Love these questions! Its super important to be honest with yourself before considering remote work. A challenge I've faced while working remote is finding a quiet, distraction free work environment in my home.

Good question. I was a supervisor when my company went to WFH during Covid. A lot of people can't work without a supervisor
