As 2023 draws closer to ending I feel it’s a good time to reflect on what a rollercoaster of a year it has been. Earlier this week I hit my long term goal which was to achieve my next milestone of 450 Deals 🎯🏡🤝(150 deals this year). To say I was elated would be an understatement, although I feel the novelty wore off very quickly. I’m always wanting to challenge myself and never become complacent or comfortable. In theory I see it as one big game, complete one chapter then onto the next. 2 years, 9 months ~ 33 months 452 deals 152 deals (this year) with 1 week of work to go⌛️ None of the above would of been possible without the amazing team I’m surrounded by. Manifestation is real, start of the year I set myself that target 🎯 and never lost sight. It would be a lie to say I am motivated all the time, everyone has their wobbles. Mind you, acknowledging those days and having a stable team around you is everything; this is by no means a one man band. I’m a big believer that “the journey is more important than the destination”. What you learn along the way & who you develop into trumps everything else. So here’s to 2023, thank you for the lessons & the blessings one has experienced. Day 10 - The Value of Value Linkedin is full of people who want to add value. Even the accomplished ones learn from each other in hopes of making themselves, their businesses, and/or their clients better. I hope even this sharing of myself adds value. I know it does help me make new connections in my brain, trying to: - simultaneously gain trust by putting a face to a business - let others know how I think - promote my business (Revelation Advising) - gain attention for my day job employers (Dean Lewis Associates and Cargotrol Corporation) We all can bring something to the table and even thrive. When was the last time you were this amped at work? I asked myself this question while watching the NBA playoffs last night. As a former athlete, I remember these moments (good and bad) of extreme passion. The celebrations didn't solely come after a big win, but they were part of the natural course of a game as well. Maybe I'm the only one, but I don't see this same display of passion in myself or others in careers outside of athletics. Sure, there is excitement when you close that deal, get that promotion, or successfully complete that project. I would equate those to winning the game, but what about the in-game moments? To use property management as an example, imagine how different our company cultures and industry as whole would be if we were this amped after putting together that monthly report, or resolving that tenant issue, or repairing that building system. So, Bryan McMartin, Karlee May, and Don Day, prepare yourselves for some epic celebrations at the Wheelhouse!
