60% of Fires Are Caused by Electricity. Is Your Premise Next? The idea for SWIFIX was born out of a deep concern for both homeowners and electricians in Malaysia. On one hand, we saw homeowners struggling to find reliable electricians, especially during emergencies. Word-of-mouth recommendations were unreliable, and the fear of unqualified technicians leading to dangerous situations was real. On the other hand, we saw many skilled electricians struggling to make a decent living. Low pay and lack of flexibility often drove them to leave the industry or resort to unethical practices. SWIFIX aims to solve both problems simultaneously. By creating a platform that connects homeowners with certified, experienced electricians, we're providing peace of mind and ensuring quality service. At the same time, we're empowering electricians by offering them better pay, flexible hours, and the opportunity to build their businesses. We believe this creates a win-win situation. Homeowners get the reliable, safe electrical services they need, and electricians get the recognition and rewards they deserve. Our vision for SWIFIX is to raise the standards of the electrical service industry in Malaysia, making it safer, more efficient, and more rewarding for everyone involved. Don't let this statistic become your reality. Protect your family and home now! Business Owner / Electrician | Sparkychics | Passionate supporter of inclusion and diversity in the mining and resources sector
In my time as an electrician in Australia, I've come to appreciate the intricate web of rules, regulations, and standards that guide our work. These standards are like the guiding stars in our profession, ensuring safety and quality in every project we undertake. But there's a side to this story that often goes unnoticed – the financial burden it places on us. From wiring rules to safety protocols, there's no shortage of standards we must adhere to. My experience has been a continuous learning process, as I strive to grasp the intricacies of each document. Just when I think I've got a handle on these standards, they change. Keeping up with amendments and updates is a bit like chasing a moving target. It requires diligence and dedication. One aspect that has become increasingly apparent is the financial toll that these standards take on contractors like me. We're not only required to comply with these regulations but also to purchase access to them and their amendments. The financial burden often falls disproportionately on small businesses like mine. It can deter new contractors from entering the industry and limit the growth of existing ones. We need a level playing field that enables all of us, regardless of the size of our business, to thrive. It's not just about the dollars; it's about ensuring safety, fostering growth, and embracing innovation. These standards are vital, but they should be accessible to all, without a hefty price tag. As I continue my journey in the electrical industry, I'm hopeful for a future where standards are not a financial burden but a tool for our collective success and the industry thrives on inclusivity, safety, and progress. #ElectricianLife #Standards #Australia #ElectricalIndustry #Innovation #SafetyFirst

We all know how important it is to stay safe around electricity, but some people still think they can handle electrical work on their own. Even though the law in Western Australia requires licensed electricians to do all electrical work, some folks still believe they can do it themselves. Another problem is, when it comes to "small jobs" like changing a light fixture or fixing an outlet, some people turn to handymen instead of electricians. Unfortunately, most handymen are not qualified to do electrical work, which can be dangerous and even life-threatening. So, let's make sure we prioritise safety when it comes to electrical work and always hire licensed professionals. It's just not worth taking unnecessary risks with our lives or our homes. You can check if your contractor has a valid license here - https://bit.ly/41MmQP3

The frequency of industrial electrical inspections depends on several key factors like the age of the equipment, the size of your facility, the industry you’re in, and how frequently your equipment is in use. Regular inspections are essential to ensuring safety, preventing downtime, and maintaining compliance with industry standards. For most industrial settings, we recommend an inspection at least once a year. However, some industries with heavy usage may require more frequent check-ups. 🛠️ Not sure how often your facility needs an inspection? Contact our experts at Maui Electricians, and we’ll help determine the best schedule to keep your operations running smoothly and safely. ⚡️ #electrician #mauielectrician #electricalwork #securitysystem #maui #securitysysteminstallation

Amended Approved Document Part F (Means of Ventilation) of the Building Regulations is seen as a vital step to improve indoor air quality as we head towards the Future Homes Standard on the road to net zero. For electricians working in existing homes the amended document means that when carrying out energy efficiency measures to an existing dwelling they now need to assess if any extra ventilation is required to comply. On pg 41-42 of Professional Electrician & Installer, Natasha King, Product Manager at Vent-Axia, explains these requirements and how electricians can meet them. #Ventilation #FHS #NetZero Read more: https://lnkd.in/ePn9C2wE

Good evening As the saying goes, 'every chicken has its day,' similarly, every company with an maintenance (Passive) responsible for ensuring uninterrupted power supply, be it at a single site or multiple sites, now understands whether the situation is under control or requires attention." I have dedicated 9 years to working in the telecommunications industry as a field maintenance electrician (PASSIVE) and remain actively involved. I've noticing significant changes that have occurred on the active side that is ground breaking yet there has been minimal evolution on passive side apart from changing rectifier and battery brands.. I would say am eager for management to revisit the passive methods of early 2000 to identify any potential misalignments. because that was passive and not this running up and down (tom and jerry) 😂 A saying that resonates with me, 'every chicken has its day,' keeps me motivated and hopeful. As I aspire to leverage my experience in passive maintenance to establish new benchmarks for telecommunications maintenance standards. 😁
