📝 Adaptive Messaging based on the Age of Information in VANETs In their paper, Jordi Marias-i-Parella (i2CAT), Oluwaseun Ajayi, and Yu Cheng (Illinois Institute of Technology) address collisions in cooperative awareness messages (CAMs) within 802.11p vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs). 📶 They introduce an adaptive CAM messaging algorithm that utilises the age of information (AoI) to optimise messaging frequency based on mobility status and network congestion. Temporal cameras are specially suited for imaging in presence of strong perturbations outside the FOV because : 1. It is asymmetric and thus less sensitive to perturbations; 2. It has a good signal/noise ration. Thus it is possible to correctly image a source of intensity 1 inside the FOV with a source of intensity >10 outside the FOV.
