We were thrilled to be in Calgary last week for the annual WestJet Group Leadership Summit, where leaders came together to share strategic updates, celebrate the group’s successes and inspire a greater sense of purpose. Sunwing Vacations Group President Andrew Dawson and Chief Marketing & Digital Officer Samantha Taylor took to the stage for the Executive Leadership Team panel, followed by a Sunwing Vacations Group update, where they shared more about the strategic vision for the vacation division and what they’re most passionate about when it comes to the vacation journey, from product and our ongoing resort partnerships to in-destination excursions, resort cuisine and more. Today was our annual Leadership Conference at Bournemouth and Poole College. As a leadership team we were reflecting on what it means to trust as a leader, and how we can best support our teams so that our students can be the best they can be. You’ll notice in the video that I trusted Andy Edwards when he told me that I could really break a wooden plank. You might also notice that he supported me to ensure that I had the requisite knowledge and skills to be able to succeed and to stay safe! As leaders it’s up to us to support our colleagues to ensure they have the skills and knowledge that they need when carrying out the vital work they do with our students.
