From March to mid-May, Baker Tilly US DC Office has led an amazing professional women’s clothing and accessories drive at their firm! Sponsored by their office’s Growth and Retention of Women’s (GROW) group, this drive was widely successful and we greatly appreciate everyone who donated clothing and organized this event. It is with the support and partnerships of organizations and groups like Baker Tilly that help Suited for Change thrive and make our mission come to life! We want to extend our most heartfelt thanks for Baker Tilly for working with us. Donations were made by both the firm’s team members and Baker Tilly’s professional service clients – so a huge shout out to everyone who contributed to this drive and a special thank you to PilieroMazza PLLC for their efforts. Thank you, Baker Tilly, for thinking of us and supporting our organization! We loved getting to work with you and are so happy to have you in our community. ❤️

Break an Egg! prompt: Share work I admire Link: https://lnkd.in/dhPtmaNb United Way of the Greater Capital Region is doing a special fundraiser, asking people to donate as a way to wish their President and CEO Peter Gannon a happy birthday. Giving has changed in the last two decades and the more micro-donations an organization can get, the more success they'll have. This is a great example of using a special day to your benefit. What special days exist in your organization? Is there something in the next couple of months that you can use as a hook for collecting micro-donations and raise your brand's image?

I host child-friendly networking events for women in business in Ireland and Northern Ireland and help business owners nail their events. I do the nitty gritty so you can shine.
We're on a mission... I am looking for 10 ladies nationwide to... 1. Collect 30+ items each in your area towards our bags 2. Collect 10 full pouches (list provided) 3. Host a Fundraiser Coffee Morning in your area (via our Idonate.ie page) 4. Team up with 3 friends in your area to run a collection, clean and pack session before the end of November with a goal to complete 50 Hopefull Handbags Global NonProfit - we would help by either attending (date & location dependent) and inviting your local DA support service to receive the donations on the day. Details provided on how to set up. 📇 We're also looking for business/corporate support via one of the following ways: 1. Make a direct donation over €250 via iDonate.ie and print the forms for your accountant. 2. Host a donation basket in your premises and permit us to add your details to posts/website so the public know where they can donate. 3. Become a 'Safe Space' - this is showcased via a sticker and you keep a list of important numbers available and can provide a quiet, private space to make a phone call with no fuss or questions. 4. Host a collection of bags and supplies within your team. Aislíng 🫶🏻

Pro Tip Day 15: Live Auction Soliciting Items from Board and Committee Members: Your board and committee members are invaluable resources for securing auction items. Be specific when requesting donations—focus on unique experiences, vacation homes, or special services. Personalize your ask by highlighting how their contributions will directly support the mission and impact of your organization. Take it a step further by asking them what items they’d like to see in the live auction. This way, you increase the chances of them bidding, which could either lead to higher bids from others or a win for the organization when they bid. What’s your strategy for soliciting auction items from your board? Share your tips! #BoardEngagement #AuctionItems #FundraisingStrategy #NonProfitSupport #YourRocktioneer

I came across this quote today when reading about philanthropy and the dance between the person with money and the person asking for the money. The key is to build a relationship and operate in a win-win scenario, putting the mission first – not power. Henry Berman shares, "It’s an ecosystem, but when the ecosystem becomes the ‘ego-system,’ you have a problem because ego overrides the mission.” He also shared three tips on how to request a donation: 💡 Seek Mission Alignment 💡 Cultivate Relationships 💡 Connect with Someone I find when it comes to giving, there is no place for ego. Instead, we should build a strong and united ecosystem of support to champion the mission or cause. Do you agree?
