! New report just released ! Hot topic for the #telco industry. The report found that some of the biggest obstacles hindering progress toward autonomy are the mindset of employees, integration issues, and regulatory concerns around data sovereignty. Indeed never enough to emphasize the fact that beyond being a techno transformation it requiers a cultural shift (and also organization, skills & processes) that do not have to be underestimate. #cloudnativetelco #telcocloud #ai #networkautomation
Self-configuration, self-monitoring, self-optimizing, self-healing: the next frontier in telco networks management with automation? Check out this new report from the #Capgemini Research Institute, "Networks with intelligence: Why and how the telecom sector should accelerate its autonomous networks journeys". It provides comprehensive insights into the importance of autonomous networks for telcos and how these autonomous networks are best implemented. At a time where telcos are looking to improve the economic return on network investments, looking back at the benefits reaped by early adopters of network automation is eye-opening: - over the past two years, operators have already realized a 20% improvement in operational efficiency and an 18% reduction in network operation expenditure (OpEx) through autonomous networks initiatives. - Additionally, 71% of operators have reduced energy consumption during this period, while they expect to lower greenhouse gas emissions by 30% over the next five years. The report also found that telcos anticipate investing an average of $87 million in autonomous networks over the next five years, with estimated OpEx savings of $150 million-$300 million per organization during this period. Furthermore, the return on investment (ROI) of autonomous networks initiatives ranges from 1.7x to 3.4x, with a payback period of between 2.9 to 1.5 years in conservative and optimistic scenarios.

We know #AutonomousNetworks are the direction the market is heading. The businesses that choose to wait until autonomous networks are the norm will only enjoy incremental gains alongside every other competitor and blend into the crowd. So, to get ahead, where should communications service providers (#CSPs), vendors and technologists begin in their journey to unlock the many advantages of autonomous networks? The answer is: lead with deep tech. In this insightful blog, Capgemini colleague from Cambridge Consultants Stephane Remy, MIET talks about how deep tech offers you an invaluable commercial advantage with unique, cutting-edge technology: https://bit.ly/4bPOUXe

Chief Portfolio Officer at Capgemini | Head of Global Business Lines | CX, Cloud, Data&AI, Cybersecurity
The growing number of connected devices are making networks more complex than ever. Increasing pressure on network resources means that the widespread adoption of autonomous networks is now critical for maintaining high standards of customer experience. Our latest report finds that telcos understand the importance of this shift, and are expected to invest $87 million on average in autonomous networks over the next five years, with 60% of leaders indicating they are interested in exploring the potential of #GenerativeAI. However, despite this willingness to invest, only 17% of telcos have a comprehensive autonomous network strategy in place. In order to successfully transition from manual to autonomous network operational models, telcos need a well-defined strategy covering people, technology and innovation. It’s time now to combine the power of today’s advanced networks with technologies such as AI and cloud to help organizations foster continuous innovation and drive sustained value for their business. Next week, join our experts at #MWC24 to know more about our services that enable organizations to unlock value through network technology. Jacques Assaraf, Anne-Flore AGARD, Fotis Karonis, Yannick Martel

This latest research report by my colleagues Grant Lenahan and Shanthi Ravindran can be read at least two ways: 1. as an off-the-shelf strategy for how to build and operate #autonomous #networks, and 2. as a yardstick for assessing the completeness of a current #AN strategy. Either way, boiling the complexity of autonomous networks down to a core set of eight "must dos" makes for a invaluable and timely industry reference. Look forward to discussing on-site at #DTW! https://lnkd.in/ehY5zKNV
The question of "where we are" on the road to #autonomous #networks invites as many answers as there are telcos. But the #blueprint for creating autonomous networks can be encapsulated, for all telcos, into eight essential best practices. In a major new research report, Grant Lenahan and Shanthi Ravindran set out the new principles and detail the eight specific, actionable best practices for realizing autonomous networks. There's a free sample of the report available - the full report runs to over 40 pages, and is free for subscribers to our #Automation and #Orchestration research. Paywall otherwise.
