Self-actualization of goals is very important. This also sets you up to be able to praise your own success in your own way. If you made the goal own the accomplishment and make sure you make yourself feel good about what you accomplished. This also helps when you need to do certain parts of a goal at a time. Take your time reaching the goal the way you want to achieve it, but all the while recognize your own little successes along the way.

It’s easy to get caught in the overwhelm of what needs to be done and forget what you’ve already accomplished. I find myself in that spot at least three times a day! So before you get started on your 2024 “To Do” list, take time to celebrate your 2023 “Did It!” list. That list should include not just your wins and achievements but also the losses and bumps that now form the learning you’re building your next steps on. There’s always going to be SO MUCH to do. It doesn’t mean you haven’t done anything.
