You’ve likely seen your fair share of Hurricane Milton posts as it makes its approach with winds up to 155 mph. Although it has slightly weakened from a category 5 to a 4, it is still extremely dangerous with heavy rain and high winds as it drives through the Gulf of Mexico, heading to Florida. Milton can significantly affect Florida’s supply chain, particularly impacting ports, highways, and key logistics hubs in Tampa and Sarasota. This could cause delays in shipments, especially in supply chains that rely heavily on Florida’s infrastructure. Distribution centers that are affected could cause potential shortages. Rerouting at this time will most likely be necessary in anticipation of the storms impact. As we keep an eye on Hurricane Milton, it’s important for everyone to stay informed and be ready.

Our hearts go out to everyone affected by Hurricane Milton and Hurricane Helene. The aftermath of these hurricanes have wrought significant destruction and brought a lot of disruption to many areas of life, and it isn't limited to the southeastern states, either. Even folks and businesses here in Michigan are experiencing the effects of this wild storm season. Working in the transportation industry, we've already seen trucking routes experience major disruption. There are a lot of challenges to supply distribution right now, but we are working to find creative ways to help our clients re-route their shipments and get things where they need to go. It takes many hands and helpers to help communities bounce back after these kind of situations. We're glad to be a part of the solution. #hurricanerelief #transportationindustry #findsolutions

To all of the owners making your teams work through the hurricane just trying to chase that revenue, shut it down and give your team members time to prepare their homes and families. No amount of revenue is worth more than ANY of your team members lives. If you are truly putting profits over people, get out of the ownership game now.
