Yesterday, we celebrated the groundbreaking of our latest project in New York, the Shirley Chisholm Recreation Center! The new center is named for Shirley Chisholm, the Brooklyn-born politician who became the first African American woman to serve in Congress. Upon its completion at the end of 2025, the Center will host spaces for the East Flatbush community to gather, learn, and play together. It was great to commemorate this milestone with Eric Adams, the Mayor of New York City, as well as our partners at at NYC Department of Design and Construction, Lendlease, Thornton Tomasetti, Atelier Ten, WSP in the U.S., 40 Six Four Architecture, Code LLC, and many more. We look forward to sharing more as this project takes shape!
