As a leader, it's crucial to maintain a clear vision and uphold your values rather than succumbing to groupthink or the pressures of the majority. Here are some principles to avoid becoming part of the mob: 1. Critical Thinking: Always analyze situations critically and independently, regardless of popular opinion. 2. Integrity: Stick to your principles and ethical standards, even when it's challenging or unpopular. 3. Transparency: Communicate openly and honestly with your team to build trust and avoid misunderstandings. 4. Listening: Pay attention to diverse perspectives and encourage open dialogue to make informed decisions. 5. Accountability: Take responsibility for your actions and decisions, and ensure that your leadership reflects the values and mission of your organization. Leading with these principles can help you stay true to your role and make decisions that are in the best interest of your team and organization.

One of the best things I’ve learned in leadership is to detach. That doesn’t mean be ignorant to your mission and your people, rather look holistically at issues and empower people to make decisions and support them. Good leaders will be the first to admit they don’t know everything.

Leaders will overcome complacency. 

Detaching is hard, a for sure skill to be worked on.
