Joining Forces to Nourish our Community! Our Supportive Housing and PACE Dietary teams have joined forces to coordinate food resources for our PACE sites and supportive housing community partners. In May, staff from both teams visited the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank to restock the PACE Reasner pantry. During the same visit, they also delivered 600 pounds of fresh produce to PACE participants living at the Quality Inn and West Park Apartments, our supportive housing partners, where the food was distributed in less than an hour. To continue this effort, we’ve proposed a monthly delivery of food from the Food Bank to these communities during the last week of each month, a critical time for seniors low on CalFresh/EBT funds. If you’d like to help, we are accepting donations of non-perishable food, toiletries, personal hygiene products, and clothing.
