We’re Celebrating #WorldEnvironmentDay 🌏 🌲 with a peek behind the scenes of our #NatureTeam in action. Developing land-based sequestration projects that restore and protect nature is at the heart of their work - and an essential activity on the road to #netzero. Critical to this is work understanding the cultural significance of the project areas and identifying and engaging the local Traditional Owners. Through #reforestation and #habitatrestoration, these projects don't just remove carbon they also offer a host of co-benefits like enhancing biodiversity and ecosystem resilience and providing economic opportunities, cultural values, and improved water and air quality for communities. They can also help organisations achieve #emissionsreduction and nature-positive goals by generating high-integrity #carbonoffsets or #insets. Here's a snapshot of the team on location doing site visits around the country in Queensland, Western Australia and Tasmania.
