Employees are the backbone of any organization. They crave more than just a paycheck. It's important for companies to recognize the efforts of their employees and make them feel valued, heard, and appreciated for their contributions. When this recognition fails to happen, employees become apathetic, creativity dwindles, and top talent walks out the door. As a company, it's essential to prioritize employee recognition and ensure that employees feel appreciated every step of the way.

❓ If your promotion doesn't come with a raise, should you take it? This excerpt from Private Equity by Carrie Sun reminds me of the concept of "dry" promotions: "He thought we would view this as a kind of promotion, as though Carbon were doing us a favor by giving us opportunities to get more and more involved. We viewed it as added responsibilities for which no one had any extra bandwidth. " And, I would add, where there was no discussion of increased compensation for additional work. That is basically the definition of a "dry" promotion: A title change + additional responsibilities, with no salary increase or additional compensation consideration. But are "dry" promotions all bad? Read more in the SHRM article below and let me know what you think. https://lnkd.in/ekwGyXMU #shrm #drypromotions #careercoach #careergrowth #titlechange #promotions #compensationstrategy
