𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘂𝗽...𝗜 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗲! Have you ever loved something so much, pursued it with passion, only to realise it wasn't your true calling in the end? That was me. Growing up, I aspired to become a medical doctor. I adored healthcare careers, having spent numerous days within hospital walls due to childhood sicknesses. I believed becoming a doctor was my destiny, perhaps even a career that would make my African parents immensely proud. The truth is, I cherished the idea of healthcare, envisioning a life inside a hospital as a doctor. However, just before completing high school, my enthusiasm for medical studies diminished. I began to realise that there was more to healthcare. I considered nursing on the advice of others, but circumstances led me to become a dental nurse. Little did I know that while working as a dental nurse (which I thoroughly enjoyed), I would develop an interest in #dental radiography. This passion eventually paved the way for my current role as a radiographer. #God works in mysterious ways. 💝I love Radiography. 💔Physics may not be my strongest suit, 💝but I adore the blend of technology and anatomy, 💝imaging, problem solving and the scope of growth. Today I'm launching a small, simple site dedicated to helping radiologists find true private practices (and helping those practices find radiologists). It's a crazy job market out there, and there's a lot of noise gumming up the process. As was inevitable, it's taken more work than I anticipated or planned. Having a job board focused on groups/companies and not specific jobs is not how most boards are structured. But that's where I wanted to put the focus. I wish it'd been ready in early July. But there are 20+ groups advertising on launch day, and probably another 20-30 coming over the next few weeks. Not everyone needs/wants to work in private practice, and of course that's fine. But I wanted to make some space online to help those who do find what they're looking for.

An increase in vacancy is both good and bad. It's good that #Radiology is growing and more jobs are being created at a rate faster than almost all other specialties. But the struggle is also real.
