A rocking Throw🔙 Thursday! Creativity knows no bounds in the St. Michael’s Music Program. Established by our Director of Fine Arts, Steve Moreland, he leads our 21 student Rock, Pop, and Country Bands to perform at all our home football game tailgates and during halftime on the field. 🎶🎤 The bands perform both Fall and Spring concerts to standing-room-only crowds. Our very fortunate music students even have the opportunity to record their music in our professional recording studio and learn about mixing and production. We're thrilled to announce that our LightSaders Robotics Team has been invited to the prestigious Maryland Tech Invitational (June 28th—30th) at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab! 🎉 This is a tremendous honor, as only the top 40 teams/robots in the world receive this invitation. This marks the second time our team has been recognized at this level in three years! At the FIRST Tech Challenge Competition (FTC) World Championship, also known as "Worlds," our team has consistently performed at an elite level. In 2022, we earned a Finalist Alliance trophy, and in 2024, we were Division Finalists, placing the LightSaders among the top teams of approximately 8,000 worldwide.
