✨Reflecting on My First Posting as an MPhil Trainee✨ As my first posting in the MPhil program concludes, I’d like to share some raw reflections and experiences from my time in the Child and Adolescent Unit—a field I hold dear to my heart. 🌻Cherished Moments: Working with young children has been incredibly fulfilling. Their genuine love and appreciation for the insights we provide are truly heartwarming. 🌻Challenges and Growth: While I anticipated a rigorous workload, the reality of balancing a semi-professional role with academic demands was more intense than expected. This journey included several meltdowns, which I now recognize as part of the process of growth. 🌻Professional Development: The experience has highlighted the importance of peer supervision, especially during moments of self-doubt. Regular check-ins with peers have been invaluable. 🌻Meaningful Connections: Receiving handwritten notes of appreciation from clients has been an indescribable feeling, affirming the positive impact we have on their lives, despite having to decline physical gifts. 🌻Inspiring Colleagues: I had the pleasure of working alongside talented interns at IHBAS, who have left a lasting impression on both the team and our clients. Although many have moved on, I look forward to future collaborations with these special few as colleagues. 🌻Personal Transformation: Over the past two months, I've noticed significant changes in how I study, work, and view the world. This journey has been bittersweet, filled with struggles yet immensely rewarding. In summary, the first two months of my MPhil have been a transformative experience. The challenges are real, but the rewards make every moment worthwhile.💫🪄

MCAS season is upon us, but at our schools, we're reminding our kids that they are more than just a standardized test score. ✨ Our kids arrived confident, focused and ready to give it their all. Staff have gone above and beyond, offering personalized notes of encouragement, facilitating energizing jumping breaks and more to support our students as they navigate their tests. 📖 While standardized tests provide valuable insights, they are not a comprehensive measure of a child's capabilities and potential. They also don't account for a student's unique skills and talents, or the impact that their socioeconomic background has on test performance. **What do I do in my spare time?Exploring educational Excellence at GRETB** Today was an eye-opening experience at the Galway and Roscommon Education and Training Board (GRETB). The students' talents left me in awe, underscoring the incredible work happening within these walls. The keynote by the students address emphasized how education isn't just about the present—it's a bridge to countless future opportunities. GRETB equips students with the skills and mindset needed to thrive in a rapidly changing world. Comparing Sweden and Ireland's educational approaches was thought-provoking. While both prioritize student growth, the nuances in their methods reflect cultural differences and unique perspectives on learning. The study visits to various preschools were equally impressive. Witnessing young learners engage with hands-on experiences reinforced the importance of early education. Overall, it was a day filled with inspiration and insights. Embracing Universal Human Values: Education as a Way to the Comprehensive person Education is not just the process of training people for the current skills required in the market but building a person as a whole. This is where AICTE’s efforts to mainstream Universal Human Values (UHV) assist in achieving the noble objective. It is worth mentioning that subjects taught in UHV courses include ethical responsibility, empathy, and the concept of interdependence among learners. All these values are the foundation of establishing a harmonized society where the freedom of every individual is honored. We realize that as humans or professionals we are in search of purpose and something meaningful to do in our day to day existence. The UHV workshop held at MRIIRS can be used to make sense of the world thus bringing about the appreciation of life as well as Individuals’ psychosocial wellness hence promoting coherence and order. Therefore, integrating UHV in our education signifies the efforts towards creating a considerate community. They prepare to guide us with the ethical standards in the occupied world, in order to make the right choices that can be considered as advantageous for ourselves and the environment. What AICTE is doing by incorporating UHV in and amongst the curriculum is to equip us for success in our callings as well as well rounded citizens. Education in such a style is effective because it is closely linked to the centuries-old idea of education, which does not boil down to memorizing knowledge, but to the formation of a person and his further beneficial presence in society. Let us promote knowledge and humanity these values I hope that one day the future will bright and there will be more education institutions to foster the promotion of the two and improve the lot of society. In one accord, a change for the better is achievable in as much as the society embraces the corporate culture of synergy and embraces values such as compassion, ethical living, and sustainable development. Step 3 PASS/FAIL: If Step 3 becomes pass/fail like Step 1, it will be a setback for IMGs, as many rely on high scores, as do AMGs targeting competitive fellowships. Program directors particularly value Step 3 scores in residency applications for IMGs, especially those who graduated more than 2-3 years ago. Here are my recommendations, which align with the AMA: 1. Make it a one-day exam instead of two. 2. Provide residents with dedicated time off, likely a week, to take the exam. 3.
