YES, today is May 1st. While sure April 🌦 will eventually bring May 💐 , I also wanted to highlight what else happened in April here Carve Communications, Inc.! Looking back at what we as a team accomplished in April puts a big smile on my face. 🎉 Strategic Planning- We built a well thought out strategy and action plan together to support a clients annual industry event 🎉 Partnerships- We're finalizing an omni-channel campaign with a very well known TV star and simultaneously negotiating an exciting cross-promo with a leading CPG brand, all for the same client partner! 🎉 Outreach & Results- We had a great month coverage wise, examples range from an exclusive interview on Yahoo Finance to multiple placements with Parents.com, Good Housekeeping and Buzzfeed as well as feature trade coverage across a variety of industries (Retail Touch Points, Sports Collectors Digest, Commercial Observer). The CSS Average is HIGH 🎉 Industry POV’s- We shared an insightful SOV report and received constructive, yet positive feedback from our partners. 🎉Announcements- Rather than a specific number, let’s just say April was full of product/service releases and new partnership announcements. Our workflow, output and performance was nothing short of excellent. What’s Coming Up This Month? As schools let kids out over the next 4-6 weeks we will immediately turn our attention to Back to School. There’s plenty of opportunities to capitalize on there. Temperatures are rising across the country, which means consumers (and therefore the media) are looking for HVAC solutions and experts. Those are just our evergreen sustainable "always-on" efforts. That doesn’t even include all the new product and service offering announcements scheduled for May/June. And on a personal note, it's baseball/softball season here (AKA the happiest time of the year) in the midwest so if you're looking for me over the weekend you can find me on a ⚾ or softball field cheering on my kids with a 🍹 🍺 in hand. Summer Time = Play Time = Go Time #worksmarternotharder

Building the most configurable sports registration and event management software, customizable for ANY individual or team sport | RaceReach Co-Founder | Accomplished Marketing and Sales Pro | 8x Ironman Triathlete
In the thirteen-year journey of growing RaceReach, we’ve constantly weighed the balance of promoting our customer stories versus touting our growth numbers. When I zoom out, I realize that it’s NEVER really been about the scale of the numbers, nor should it ever be. RaceReach is a product-led Sports Event Registration and Management company, delivering services very similar to our competitors’. Our business model and the small size of our team, however, make our scale and growth numbers seemingly less impressive. While we’re proud of our software, size and growth, our current scale is small when compared to many competitors. What makes us desirable to work with (and has driven our growth) is the uniqueness of the relationships we build with each event director and sports organization. These customers tell us that our small group of employee-owners goes considerably beyond anything they have experienced. They tell us that we focus on understanding their specific problems and needs, then we provide tailored solutions delivered through regular, meaningful and often fun interactions. As RaceReach partners with new customers, there is certain to be a continued temptation to tout our growth metrics. We’ll continue to remind ourselves that our real value comes from the depth, quality and frequency of these interactions. The lasting wins aren’t measured by the numbers on the scoreboard, but instead through memories of how you and your customers worked together on the field, during the game.

🏀 The NBA Draft kicked off last night, and among the chaos, San Antonio traded their 8th overall pick for two picks in 2031! 🤯 Imagine that...the rights to a player today...for the right to draft someone who is 11 or 12 years old today 7 years from now... It got me thinking—what if we could trade employees like NBA teams trade draft picks and players? Now, that would be wild! 🏀 Imagine this corporate fantasy world: Trading Talent: "I'll trade you my top sales rep for your marketing guru and a future intern." Just like NBA trades, we’d be swapping talent to build the perfect team for the future. Employee Draft: Every year, companies could draft fresh talent right out of college or from other firms. "With the first pick in the 2024 Corporate Draft, Krafted Revenue selects... the sales prodigy from the University of Kansas! (Rock Chalk...)" Scouting Combines: Imagine scouting combines where potential hires show off their skills. "Jane scored a 98 on the cold call challenge and aced the multithreaded email chain test, she is a lock to go in the lottery!" Free Agency Frenzy: Employee free agency where top talent can negotiate the best deals with interested companies. "Breaking news: Top sales rep John Doe signs a multi-year deal with seed-stage startup out of NYC!" When asked about leaving the F500 company based in KC, John stated: "You know, I just have always seen myself as a large market player. The ability to bring deals into this company and put them on the map in a place like NYC...thats special." Team Chemistry: Trades wouldn’t just be about individual talent—it’s all about how well they fit into the team. "We're trading for Sarah because her synergy with our existing team is off the charts!" Wild Cards: The element of surprise trades. "Breaking news: Krafted Revenue trades their CFO for a mysterious future prospect and an undisclosed amount of office snacks." And just like the Oklahoma City Thunder, who have an incredible 37 draft picks over the next seven years, including 15 first-round picks and 22 second-round picks we’d be armed with a treasure trove of potential talent. Imagine the possibilities! What crazy trades or draft picks would you make in your sales team? Let’s have some fun and imagine the possibilities! 🏆 #NBADraft #SalesLeadership #CorporateTrades #FantasyHiring

One year ago today, I stepped into the role of Head of Marketing, South Asia, at Warner Bros Discovery, and what a ride it’s been! To celebrate, I’m sharing a few personal lessons I’ve learned along the way. You might wonder why I’m talking about myself and not about strategy or market dynamics. Blame it on my current obsession with the Bhagavad Gita, which reminds us that the real game-changer is our own mindset. The Gita teaches that real transformation happens from within. So, here’s what’s been happening in my head this past year: 1. Anxiety Can Be a Good Thing: Picture this: Day one, new role, me—thrilled and also low-key freaking out. And you know what? That anxiety wasn’t the enemy; it was my secret weapon. It kept me sharp, pushed me to embrace the unknown, and made me a pro at finding calm in chaos. I guess anxiety and I are now unlikely BFFs, keeping each other in check! 2. Vulnerability is Strength: Let’s be real: None of us are superheroes (though some of us secretly wish we were). We thrive together, not alone. I’ve learned that showing up as my perfectly imperfect self makes room for others to do the same. Being open and a bit messy in front of my team created a culture of honesty, trust, and that warm, fuzzy “we’ve got this together” feeling. 3. You’ve Done This a Thousand Times Before: As part of the first wave of women in my immediate family climbing the corporate ladder, it’s easy to feel like we’re winging it without a playbook. Enter Imposter Syndrome, stage left. But here’s the kicker—I realized I’ve been training for this my whole career. It’s like riding a bike; once you’re pedaling, you remember you’ve got this. Every stumble, every win has prepped me for today. So, chin up, we’ve got this, and we’ve had it all along. Here’s to embracing the beautiful mess of learning, showing up even when it’s hard, and laughing along the way.

Good times trading ideas and book recommendations with my colleague Azfar Andhi from HR and Zane Rizvi, MBA from Indirect plus all my favorite stakeholders (who listened to me babble/bore them about procurement) at True Value Company while we took a quick break from our #hardwareheros #truevalue #indirectbuyseverything
The entire True Value Company has put in an incredible amount of hard work so far this year, so today we took a break to enjoy a Chicago Dogs game ⚾️🌭 While the whole marketing crew isn’t pictured, I consider myself lucky on a daily basis to collaborate with these amazing people! Big thanks to the meetings and events team for organizing this.
