The Paris 2024 Paralympics Games (International Paralympic Committee) kick-off today and Sports Innovation Lab wanted to highlight not only the powerful athletes with disabilities but also the sport fans with disabilities. Not enough attention is paid to the population of sport fans with disabilities and while technology advancements have created better accessibility features, we still have a long way to go to serve this community. After taking a deep dive into Sports Innovation Lab’s sports data cloud we analyzed the population of sport fans with disabilities and found: 🌟 They are BIG sports fans 🌟 Their fandom is on the rise 🌟 They have immense purchasing power 🌟 They are HUGE fans of baseball To learn more about how teams and leagues are paying attention to this growing fandom and key recommendations for how sports properties can engage with them, read our findings below!
