Here is number 2 on our helping list: 2)     Create awareness 🤝Remind your friends and contacts that the war in Ukraine is still going on and help them to switch their help button back on too. Incite your business partners to help, both financially and in kind. Helping does not have to cost a fortune. Helping starts by being aware of the needs of others and keeping them on the agenda. That’s one of the reasons why we opened our 👫Community Center “Błonie” 👫in Zamość. Not only to help integrate Ukrainian refugees, but also to be visible in the public landscape. To show the public that Ukrainians do not only take, but also give to the local community. To show that Ukrainians are actively helping their fellow countrymen. To remind people that this war isn’t over.

Cultural symbols and metaphors can be significant in refugees' narratives. Different cultural backgrounds may use distinct symbols, metaphors, and imagery to convey emotions, experiences, and hopes. Example: A Karen refugee from Myanmar may use symbols from their traditional clothing and rituals to represent resilience and hope, while a Yazidi refugee from Iraq might incorporate symbols from their religious beliefs to convey their experiences of suffering and survival. #cultural Symbols and Metaphors

We are starting the second to last week of this 2023, an year full of horrors and bliss, like many of the circumstances of life itself...For our Network times often needs campaigns, initiatives and many projects, often long-term, of which we usually share results, outputs and opportunities. Nonetheless projects are made by and for people, even when we don't directly see them and the most ambitious and complex ones require strong commitment, professionalism and team-work. This is the case indeed of the REFUGIN Project (Communitarian Approach for a holistic young-refugee long-term integration),which focuses on strengthening the role of key civil society professionals on the medium-to-long-term integration of young refugees. The project strives to improve young refugee integration via the improvement of the knowledge and skills of education professionals and NGOs working comprehensively with forcibly displaced youth, as well as through the direct capacitation of young refugees. To share with you a little glimpse of it and to comemmorate this year #MigrantsDay, we are delighted to show you this short video made during the 3rd Transnational Partner Meeting of the project, which happened in Athens in September and that was hosted by KMOP.
