Instead, what La Roche Posay is doing here is building closer connections with a smaller subset of its customers and positioning itself as a brand that's about more than just selling skincare. YOLO in Healthcare, Say hello to YOLOv9, the new member of YOLO family! 🎉 It's here to challenge YOLOv8, but is it better? Just because it's new doesn't mean it’s necessarily better. We've conducted extensive testing on this new architecture, focusing specifically on our very own dermatology and STI medical images, to determine who is the real champion. We utilized synthetically generated skin spot images by our in-house diffusion model to ensure a fair comparison of the models under identical conditions. In our detailed comparison between YOLOv8 and YOLOv9, focusing on the detection of acne spots within dermatology images, we've uncovered several key insights: - Accuracy and Confidence: The confidence score for detected acne spots is notably higher with YOLOv8 compared to YOLOv9. - Inference Time: When come to processing speed, YOLOv8 able to deliver the results faster compared to YOLOv9. - Detection in Challenging Conditions: Despite the overall higher confidence scores of YOLOv8, YOLOv9 demonstrates an impressive ability to detect more acne spots in blurry scenarios. - Acne Spot Detection per Frame: Throughout our testing, YOLOv9 consistently captured more spots in every frame compared to YOLOv8. The Result? YOLOv8 and YOLOv9 each shine in their own areas, making the optimal selection dependent on the requirements of the project.
