From Jonathan Tobin of the JNS: "Many Jews believed they could always count on enlightened liberal opinion in this country not only to condemn expressions of right-wing Jew-hatred in the strongest terms but to also isolate it. Instead, they have watched with amazement and concern as the mobs engaging in antisemitic invective have been defended or rationalized in mainstream liberal media like The New York Times and MSNBC as idealists or, at worst, emotional kids whose actions are an understandable reaction to Israeli atrocities. In doing so, those who are taking this line aren’t just repeating and spreading Hamas propaganda and blatant falsehoods. They are accepting the premise that opposition to the existence of the one Jewish state on the planet is somehow the natural political position of those who call themselves progressives." Those who remain seduced by "progressivism" need to wake up before it's too late. The overt Jew-hatred remains tolerated if not acceptable among the wider left.

The federal government MUST pull federal funding from colleges and universities that fail to quell antisemitism and protect their Jewish students!!!!! Under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 colleges MUST provide ALL students, including students who are or are perceived to be Jewish or Israeli, a school environment free from discrimination based on race, color, or national origin. Title VI’s protection from race, color, or national origin discrimination extends to students who experience discrimination, including harassment, based on their actual or perceived: (i) shared ancestry or ethnic characteristics; or (ii) citizenship or residency in a country with a dominant religion or distinct religious identity. Schools that receive federal financial assistance have a responsibility to address discrimination when the discrimination involves racial, ethnic, or ancestral slurs or stereotypes; when the discrimination is based on a student’s skin color, physical features, or style of dress that reflects both ethnic and religious traditions, to name a few characteristics. The federal government did withhold federal money from school districts in the 1960s, prior to the creation of the Education Department, over their refusal to integrate.
Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (Rep-NY) rips Columbia University and vows to hold them accountable for them condoning antisemitism and their failure to protect the Jewish students. Although Oct 7 has undoubtedly sparked the fastest rise in active antisemitism and bigotry since the 1930s, the rest of us with a clear moral compass have absolute clarity on which side of history we stand. The millions of violent protesters with blatant hatred for Israel and the Jewish people, fueled by cancerous propaganda and an untold number of manipulations and deceptive lies are already being held accountable. And there’s more to come. Moreover, our unshakable faith in G-d and our unity will eventually shed the light on the goodness of mankind and truth, which will inevitably force this evil to melt away. It’s just a matter of time. I am sure that I’m speaking for many of you, especially the silent bystanders who may still feel afraid to speak up. Hang tight. Stay strong. Stay united. We will prevail. Am Yisrael Chai #standwithIsrael 🇮🇱 #standwithhumanity

Currents of Innuendo Converge on an American Path to Political Hate - PDF: https://lnkd.in/gveRupNw Uses of innuendo such as enthymemes, sarcasm, and dog whistles by politicians and the resulting interlineal readings available to some listeners gave us an early warning about the type of relationship that has now obtained between Christianity and politics, and specifically the rise of Christian Nationalism as facilitated by President Donald Trump. I argue that two currents of indirectness in American politics, one religious and the other racial, have converged like tributaries leading to a larger body of water. While most of the semantic and pragmatic literature I have cited aims to examine dog whistles and other types of innuendo at the level of single utterances, I argue that studying them as a historically unfolding system uncovers greater regularities and coordinated acts in messaging, as well as elucidating their support among followers and connecting individual speech acts to normalization trends and what becomes acceptable to say. I see the study of innuendo, including dog whistles, enthymemes, and sarcastic intonation, as an investigation into the pragmatics of what remains unsaid, and the recoverability of innuendo as of utmost importance for the understanding of political hate. We are all implicated, and implicated in complicity, in the making of innuendo. Working hand in hand with other semiotic indices, understanding innuendo gives us a chance to describe the broader aesthetics of our current political moment. I hope this essay provides some tools to recognize and subvert the authority emerging from these powerful strategies while attenuating their stranglehold on discursive practices.51

During a conversation today, I realized not everyone understands the implications of the words they say, and thus cannot grasp the terror felt by Jewish friends and colleagues when they hear these chants. Definitions are provided by the Anti-Defamation League: "Globalize the Intifada" The chant references two periods of violence against Israel – in the late 1980s and from 2000-2005 – during which terrorists committed indiscriminate acts of violence against Israelis. These included suicide bombings, shootings, and stabbings targeting people on city buses, in restaurants, or at nightclubs, resulting in over 1,000 deaths. This slogan is generally understood as a call for indiscriminate violence against Israel and against Jews and Jewish institutions worldwide. [Source: https://lnkd.in/eis6ew-8] "From the River to the Sea Palestine Will be Free" The chant is an antisemitic charge denying the Jewish right to self-determination, including the removal of Jews from Israel. Usage of this phrase understandably makes members of the Jewish and pro-Israel community feel unsafe and ostracized. It is important to note that demanding justice for Palestinians or calling for a Palestinian state should not mean, as this phrase posits, denying the right of the State of Israel to exist. [Source: https://lnkd.in/ec9nuWxU] "Israel is an Apartheid State" Apartheid typically refers to the policy of racial segregation in pre-1990s South Africa. Within Israel, safeguards ensure the equal treatment of all citizens, Jewish or Arab, and democratic institutions uphold these rights. Israeli Arab citizens play prominent roles in society, representing over 20% of the population. While Israel’s policies can be criticized, they are not akin to a permanent and institutionalized system motivated and designed by racism. The accusation of apartheid serves to demonize the entire state rather than challenge specific policies. [Source: https://lnkd.in/e_A7FhNk] These chants and accusations deepen divisions and perpetuate fear and hostility. Educating ourselves about antisemitic tropes is crucial for challenging misinformation and promoting accurate representations of Jewish history and identity. By countering stereotypes and myths with factual information, together we can contribute to dispelling harmful prejudices and fostering greater understanding and tolerance. https://lnkd.in/e5VHVw74

After October 7th, the normalization of antisemitism expanded and accelerated in new and dangerous ways. It’s relatively easy to understand this crisis as a threat to the Jewish community but it’s also a threat to each and every American and our democratic norms. Unlike other prejudices, antisemitism uniquely also operates as an overarching conspiracy theory, rooted in lies about Jewish power and influence -- painting other communities and institutions as pawns of Jewish control, pitting communities against one another, and sowing distrust in our democracy. Precisely because it functions as a conspiracy theory, antisemitism poses a threat far beyond the Jewish community. And as threats to inclusive, pluralistic democracy increase, so too does antisemitism flourish.

The Corrupt politicians in the pockets of the Zionist Pac's in America and the establishment are willing to erode our Democratic rights of freedom of speech that is a violation of our 1st amendment, in order to protect a foreign country and attacking Americans citizens constitutional rights of speech. Semitic is nothing to do with religion is an ethic group classification of the native people of Canaan and groups that speak semitic languages like Aramaic, Hebrew and Arabic, etc. The term semitic have been use for hundreds of years by Sholars and historian to describe ethnic groups, no to describe solely a religion, but ignorance is dangerous. The Israelis Zionists are not SEMITIC they are White supremacist European Converted Jews that are not related by history, ethnic or genetics to the holy land. they just want to create a nation by stolen the land of another nation and expected to live in peace, that will not be going to happen. They are creating their own hell on earth and America have been doing everything to support their crimes using our tax dollars, the two faces of the same Evel. REX MUNDI(Satan) is running this world, and they are doing his bedding, he has to be really happy. Americans are falling on the false narrative of antisemitism, that was created by the Zionist in the 1800's, and like it or not in America, our rights have been under direct attack from the corrupt politicians, elite and foreign operative agents from Israel to protect a rogue genocidal, neo-colonial and racist state for decades by buying politicians and the media. I always believe that America's democratic experiment is in mortal danger of destruction, and if we continue drinking the Kool-Aid and do nothing to stop those morons we will be gone in history as another empire that fall for his corruption, greed and immorality. Just think about these details is common sense, approximately 5.8 million adults (2.4% of all U.S. adults) are Jewish. This includes 4.2 million (1.7%) who identify as Jewish by religion and 1.5 million Jews of no religion, how a small group a minority have so much power in America? well, the same money our politicians send to Israel, the Zionist are using it to sponsor their corrupted agendas on buying politicians, media propaganda and influence, that mean we are indirectly paying for that corruption also. They are preying on Americans greed to fulfill their Zionist goals; they are not our allies or friends they are using our political system and economy for their personal gain. The can even apport anything to America, we don't need them at all.

I have reflected greatly over the term “genocide” over the past month. It sometimes feels as though it has completely lost its meaning. But the term has great meaning, actually. And if we forget what it means, and how it is committed, we may not be able to prevent it from happening again. In this article I talk about genocidal rhetoric and why what we say matters. https://lnkd.in/e4vCT-mY
