Hi y’all, Hope here! I can’t believe it, but we have finally reached my last #FridayInternTakeover. While I'm not going anywhere just yet, I hope you've enjoyed learning about my #internship and what I did along the way. So to wrap up, I want to share some insights I have gained: Build a 1-on-1 relationship with your trainer 🤝 During my internship, I have learned so much, but that would not have been the case without Mary's help. She is the most genuine and supportive person, and she cares for everyone around her. She answers my questions no matter how many I have for her. (Truth be told, I keep them coming… sorry!). She is always guiding me in the right direction and loosening the reins as I progress in my internship. Be a sponge 🧽 Every day was a new opportunity to grow. As an intern, it’s crucial to soak up every bit of information by being a sponge. Take notes, because you never know when you might need a piece of information that has been given to you along the way. Receiving feedback 🗣️ Feedback has been integral throughout my internship, and Social Factor embraces feedback to help everyone individually and/or collectively improve. Mary and I regularly discuss feedback, which has helped me professionally in more ways than one. Adapting is necessary 💃 Flexibility is vital. As an intern, I learned to thrive in various tasks. This skill is so important as an intern because you can be thrown in any direction and have to find a way to make it work. I’ve learned more about myself 🌱 Every internship is an opportunity to learn and discover what you like and don’t like. I have immensely enjoyed every step and the opportunities to learn about other positions along the way. Social Factor truly wants to leave everyone better than when they arrived and makes it a priority to focus on your personal experience. I am grateful for this experience 🤗 I’ve been incredibly fortunate to experience such a supportive and welcoming atmosphere during my internship. I also insanely appreciated having a flexible schedule throughout the spring semester and during my transition out of school. I can’t say this enough, but if you are looking for an internship and have the opportunity to work here, I highly recommend it. Thank you, Social Factor, for allowing me to do this takeover. This isn't goodbye; this is until next time! 🩵 -Hope S. #DigitalMarketing #HumanConnection #BetterTogether

Mary here! I’m Hope’s trainer, and while she is off winning #BeachVolleyball matches this week, I’m taking over her #FridayInternTakeover. Before she left, I asked for suggestions about what helps someone have a happy and successful #Internship experience. Here's what she's learned so far: ⏺ #Communication: Your voice matters. No one can read your mind, so if you need something, you have to speak up. Hope has been great at sharing her schedule and school needs so that we can find ways to work together and find work for her to do when we’re apart. ⏺ Willingness to learn: Your internship is a unique opportunity to experience what life will look like in your future career. School prepares you for a lot of things, but doing the actual work will always look different. Be open-minded and try new things. Willingness to learn is crucial in growing as a person and an intern. ⏺ Get to know your team: As an intern, you don’t live on an island. Your team is there to support you, give you a sense of belonging, and help you with your journey. Let them. ⏺ Be adaptable: This is more than just a willingness to learn. It’s about being prepared for the unexpected. Your internship is a chance to learn new things, and some of these things might not be what you anticipated. Flexibility is important in any career, and learning how to adapt as an intern will make life much easier in your future career. ⏺ #TimeManagement is key: Manage your time at work as efficiently as possible, not because you have anything to prove but because you deserve a work/life balance. If work bleeds into time away from work because of deadlines, work will start to feel like your life. It isn’t. So, manage your time wisely. ⏺ Ask questions: The saying that all questions are good questions is true. No one steps into an internship knowing everything. Even years into your career, there is no way to know everything. Asking questions will help you learn new things and may also give you a perspective you didn’t have before. ⏺ Be Yourself: Don’t step into an internship thinking you have to become who you think they want you to be. You are unique, and your unique qualities are what make you valuable. If you’re direct, be direct. If you’re analytical, be that. If enthusiasm makes you happy, be your perky self. If you’re someone who loves to support and collaborate, go for it. Each of us has something different to offer, and being who you are instead of who you think people expect you to be will make you happier and more successful in the long run. 𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐏𝐏𝐎 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲? With summer internships tickling over the head of every PGP1 student, I would like to pen down a few #tips that helped me ace my internship at #bainandcompany 📌𝐁𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞: Don't wait for work to be assigned. Be proactive and seek out opportunities to learn and contribute. Ask your manager if there are any specific tasks you can undertake 📌𝐃𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩: We believe that seeking for help will sound like lacking knowledge. If you don’t know something, sooner you ask for help, better it would be as things move very quickly. 𝑻𝒊𝒑: 𝘓𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘰-𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘴 𝘯𝘦𝘵𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 📌 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫: As you have joined as an intern, there will be always a pressure to perform and, in that pressure, if you overburden yourself, there is high possibility that you will commit a blunder. Do not take too much work on your plate, rather with limited work, deliver quality work 📌 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲: It is not wise to assume that our work will always be noticed by senior members of the team. Remember, you cannot leave everything to fate, rather you need to be proactive with your work. Your work must be showcased 𝑻𝒊𝒑: 𝘛𝘢𝘭𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘶𝘺 𝘴𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘰 senior members 📌 𝐁𝐞 𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐞-𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐝: When attending meetings, as an intern you should not sit idle and listen to everyone. Be curious and attentive to the discussion. Ask questions and share your perspective. Don't be afraid to take initiative and suggest new ideas or ways to improve processes 𝑻𝒊𝒑: 𝘔𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘦𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴 📌 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫: An internship is like a sprint and not a marathon, so it is better to take continuous feedback. Asking for feedback might seem daunting, but it will help you learn how you can improve in those areas that are most important to your performance 📌 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐮𝐧 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬/𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬: As you will be youngest person [more often, yes] in team, it is expected that you bring some humor and fun element. It is also a good way to develop your bond or quickly get along with the team Lastly, don't forget to enjoy this period. Leverage it to make new friends and connections. And yes, take care of your sleep cycle! 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐬! 𝐈 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐢𝐭! *** Follow Mayank Jain for more! #mba #mbb #internships #intern #bain #ppo

𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽: 𝗘𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 Summer internships are invaluable experiences that can shape your future career path and enhance your professional skills. So, as you embark on your journey, remember to seize every opportunity, learn from every experience, and make lasting connections along the way. Here are four important tips to help you make the most out of internship: 𝟭. 𝗦𝗲𝘁 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀: Before you step into your internship role, take some time to define what you hope to achieve during your time there. Whether it's gaining specific skills, expanding your network, or exploring a potential career path, having clear goals will guide your actions and help you stay focused throughout the internship. Sit down with your supervisor or mentor at the beginning of your internship to discuss these goals and align them with the expectations of the organization. By setting clear objectives, you'll be better equipped to measure your progress and make meaningful contributions during your internship. 𝟮. 𝗕𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲:Don't wait for tasks to be handed to you; instead, take the initiative to seek out new projects and responsibilities. Volunteer for assignments that align with your interests and skills, and don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. Whether it's assisting with a research project, participating in a client meeting, or proposing innovative ideas, demonstrating initiative will not only impress your supervisors but also help you gain valuable experience and build confidence. 𝟯. 𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀: Feedback is a valuable tool for personal and professional development. Throughout your internship, actively seek feedback from your supervisors, colleagues, and mentors. Ask for constructive criticism on your work, and be open to suggestions for improvement. Use feedback as an opportunity to learn and grow, rather than viewing it as criticism. Additionally, don't be afraid to make mistakes. Internships are a learning experience, and it's natural to encounter challenges along the way. Remember, it's not about being perfect; it's about showing resilience and a willingness to learn from your experiences. 𝟰. 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸, 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸, 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸:One of the most valuable aspects of an internship is the opportunity to expand your professional network. Take advantage of networking opportunities within the organization by attending company events, joining professional groups, and connecting with colleagues across different departments. Don't be afraid to reach out to senior leaders or executives for informational interviews or advice. Hope this article helps to find right internship. Feel free share your opinion. #Intership #sangyaapr Sangyaa PR

Founder, CEO @ Knowvation Learnings | Empowering the Future Innovators with Tech Education | Community of Tech Enthusiasts | Inspiring creativity and innovation in students
Internships have power? Hello, Knowvationers! Welcome back to Wisdom Wednesdays, where we embark on a journey of insights and growth. Today, let's talk about a topic close to my heart and, I believe, crucial for the budding minds out there—Internships. Unlocking Doors to Knowledge: The Internship Experience Internships are not just a checkbox on your academic journey; they are portals to real-world experiences, invaluable lessons, and a sneak peek into the dynamic landscapes of various industries. In the fast-paced realm of technology and entrepreneurship, classroom knowledge forms the foundation, but hands-on experience builds the structure. Internships bridge the gap between theory and practice, offering students a chance to apply what they've learned in a real-world setting. 1. Practical Application: Internships provide a platform to apply theoretical knowledge in a professional environment. It's the difference between reading about coding and actually developing software. 2. Networking Opportunities: Building connections early in your career is key. Internships expose you to professionals in your field, offering a chance to network and learn from experienced mentors. 3. Skill Enhancement: Beyond academic skills, internships help sharpen soft skills like communication, teamwork, and problem-solving—crucial attributes for a successful career. The right internship is not just about the name on the company door; it's about finding a fit that aligns with your interests and career goals. Seek opportunities that challenge you, allow you to explore your passions, and contribute meaningfully to your growth. Mainly, stop focusing on the amount of cash an internship can fetch you. If a company offers an unpaid internship but you see you can learn a lot over there, just go for it! Now, if you ask how to make the most out of the internship? Then, 1. Be Proactive: Take initiative, ask questions, and seek additional responsibilities. Proactivity stands out and leaves a lasting impression. 2. Build Relationships: Connect with your colleagues and supervisors. Relationships often open doors to future opportunities. 3. Learn Continuously: Treat every task as a learning opportunity. Absorb knowledge from experienced professionals around you. And I will definitely say, INTERNSHIPS DO HAVE THE POWER! To inform, transform and hand you in the best career path! To the students out there, consider internships not just as a mandatory phase but as a transformative experience. Each internship is a steppingstone towards your professional goals, a chance to refine your skills, and a platform to showcase your potential to the world. Cheers, N Swathi Rusheetha CEO, Knowvation Learnings #knowvation #learnings #growth #journey #internships #wisdom #knowledge #experience #jobs #skills #tech #technologies

🌟 Facing Challenges as an Intern: Turning Obstacles into Opportunities 🌟 Internships are a vital part of professional growth, but they can also come with their own set of challenges. Here’s how to effectively face and overcome common challenges as an intern: Embrace the Learning Curve: As an intern, you’re there to learn. It’s normal to feel overwhelmed at first. Embrace the learning curve and don’t be afraid to ask questions. Curiosity and a willingness to learn are highly valued. Seek Feedback: Constructive feedback is essential for growth. Actively seek feedback from your supervisors and peers. Use this feedback to improve your skills and performance. Manage Time Effectively: Balancing multiple tasks can be challenging. Use tools like to-do lists and calendars to prioritize and manage your time effectively. Learning to manage your time well is a crucial skill in any professional setting. Build Professional Relationships: Networking is a key aspect of internships. Take the initiative to build relationships with colleagues, mentors, and other interns. These connections can provide support and open doors for future opportunities. Communicate Clearly: Effective communication is vital. If you’re unsure about a task or need help, don’t hesitate to communicate. Clear and concise communication can prevent misunderstandings and ensure you’re on the right track. Adapt to the Workplace Culture: Each organization has its own culture. Observe and adapt to the workplace culture, including dress code, communication style, and work ethic. Being adaptable shows that you’re a team player. Take Initiative: Don’t wait for tasks to be assigned to you. Show initiative by volunteering for projects and suggesting improvements. Proactivity demonstrates your commitment and can set you apart from other interns. Handle Criticism Gracefully: Criticism can be tough, but it’s a part of the learning process. Handle criticism gracefully by listening, reflecting, and making the necessary changes to improve your performance. Stay Positive and Resilient: Internships can be challenging, but maintaining a positive attitude and resilience is key. Stay focused on your goals and remember that challenges are opportunities for growth. Reflect on Your Experience: Take time to reflect on your internship experience. What did you learn?
