Happy Independence Day 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳 'Independence' is not just a word for us but a pleasant feeling, a wonderful emotion and an unforgettable success. Have we really understood the true meaning of this ‘Independence’ gifted to us by our brave freedom fighters? We cannot understand the true meaning of 'Independence' until we have full faith in ourselves, until we have confidence in our efforts, until we work to our full potential, until we stop taking advantage of others, until we use truthful words, until we do our work ethically, until there is purity in our thoughts, until we take value based decisions, until there is integrity in our personality and until we believe in humanity. On this auspicious occasion of Independence Day, let us understand 'Independence' in its true sense and take our country from a developing country to a developed country with our sincere and relentless efforts. 🌿 Reconnecting to the Spirit of Our Treaties 🌿 As I share these posts, my hope is to remind us all of the deeper, sacred meaning behind the treaties our ancestors made. These agreements were not just legal or political contracts—they were built on a spiritual foundation, meant to uphold balance and respect between nations, the land, and all living beings. Over time, the true intent of these treaties has been overshadowed by colonial structures that often reduce them to legal frameworks prioritizing control and resource extraction. I believe it’s important to respectfully bring attention to this, so we can reconnect with the original spirit of our agreements and reclaim the deep relationships they were meant to foster. Through sharing these perspectives, I aim to spark conversations about how we can reawaken to the sacred responsibilities embedded in our treaties. These are living agreements, grounded in our sovereignty and Natural Law, guiding us in caring for the land and protecting the well-being of future generations. They were never intended to be confined by colonial systems that limit our rights or redefine our nationhood. I don’t have all the answers, but by reflecting on these truths together, I hope we can encourage dialogue that centers our relationships with the land, the sacredness of our treaties, and the resilience of our people. This is why I feel it’s important to share these posts:    •   To remind us that treaties are sacred and living agreements, not meant to be embedded within colonial policies or systems.    •   To encourage conversations that reflect our shared responsibilities and sovereignty.    •   To create space for decolonizing the narratives of reconciliation, ensuring they reflect the true spirit and intent of our treaties.
