My first job was a cub reporter on the East Anglian Daily Times in 1987 This year, the paper is celebrating 150 years of history. I was there for 8 years of it, ending up as news editor and then #3 on the paper before heading off to the bright lights and bars of Fleet Street. The written press is all a bit different now, but times change. My time at the EADT was a good education for the nationals, which in turn were a fine education for my 10 years in corporate content marketing. And that decade set me up to launch my marketing agency Magic Word Media 6 years ago. We’re always all on a journey. Enjoy the ride. #journalism #marketing #career

One of my greatest joys is mixing networking with golf. ⛳️ Well done to the Ipswich Town Foundation for a very successful golf day held at one of our brilliant social media clients, Hintlesham Golf Club. I was on the Greyhound pub team and we put in a reasonable performance. Pic is our team along with Ipswich Town FC legend (and now board member) Matt Holland who, for some unknown reason, looks a little slimmer/fitter than the rest of us. 😀 #golf #football #networking

Life gives you lemons sometimes; just ask Jason Dozzell. The former Ipswich Town and Tottenham midfield star had it all when he was on the pitch, but things were different when he retired from the game. He hit rock bottom in 2019 but has used that experience to open up and face his issues. Now, he's published his autobiography, Follow The Thunder. I went to the launch last night, and it was great to see the Ipswich football and business community supporting Jason, who remains the youngest-ever top-flight goalscorer, netting on his debut when he was 16 in 1984 (I was there!). Not sure why he's sticking his tongue out in my obligatory selfie, though! #football #books #PremierLeague
