Since the facade is one of the most effective factors influencing the visual perception, and today saw the occurrence of disaster in the design of the facades of neighborhoods, this happened despite that our architecture and urbanism heritage in historical neighborhoods is rich of valuable hints and patterns that identifying the patterns and strategies can led to clear way as soon as you start the design of each in the construction of new urban neighborhoods. since views and facades of urban historical tissue is created from artistic full and empty spaces, and facades of this circular texture was the mediator in extroversion and introspection of traditional architecture among Iran's historic tissues, this plan tend to show the impact of full and empty spaces, on the visual perception of residents and visitors.

Which facade do you prefer: the Brutalist concrete facade from the 60s or the contemporary building that has replaced it?  Which facade do you find more aesthetically pleasing? I recently came across an interesting discussion on the Historic England page regarding 60s Brutalist buildings. Opinions in the comments section are divided. The topic has resonated with the architecture and construction community. Some perceive this style as ugly, while others view these buildings as beautiful.  It seems that many would support the demolition of Brutalist buildings.  What are your thoughts?  Do you believe Brutalist buildings from the last century are worth preserving? Our paper, "A Reinterpretation of Vernacular Strategies for Building Envelopes in Hot and Arid Climates: Guidelines for Façade Design" was presented at the #CATE23 Comfort at the Extreme Conference in Ahmedabad on December 15th. This paper presents the findings of the thesis I developed during the 2022 MSc in Sustainable Environmental Design program at the AA Architectural Association School of Architecture in London. The paper's main focus is to explore the characteristics and solutions of vernacular architecture in hot and dry climates while evaluating their effectiveness in the context of global warming. Furthermore, the paper highlights the qualities and passive strategies of vernacular architecture and their relevance in contemporary settings. The ultimate goal of the research is to develop design guidelines for contemporary buildings in hot and dry climates, which will cover urban morphology, building orientation, window-to-wall ratio, and shading devices.
