How are things going for VMware now that the Broadcom acquisition is complete? 🤔 #theCUBE is live for #VCFTransformed theCUBE.net Join John Furrier in this exclusive with VMware’s senior VP and GM of the VCF division at Broadcom, Krish Prasad, as the fog lifts on what this new company combo will look like for customers. “It’s going really well, it’s been a whirlwind of activities but we have been able to do significant transformation on the product side, as well as the go-to-market side, as part of the integration, following what customers have been asking us for many years at VMware and we had not been able to execute at the pace that we have been able to in Broadcom” says Prasad. “The core value Broadcom brings to the table is all around innovation,” he furthers, noting the company’s position to measure innovation and be leaders across their 26 divisions. “We’ve been able to focus, and Broadcom is giving us lots of support. As a result, we’ve been able to make a lot of changes very fast… customers and analysts have been very surprised by how fast we’ve been moving,” Prasad concludes. 🔴 Watch now! https://lnkd.in/g-kZyeMy #LiveTechNews #EnterpriseComputing #VCFTransformed

Significant changes in VMware's licensing and product offerings in the Middle East, post the Broadcom acquisition, are driving enterprises and cloud service providers (CSPs) to adapt rapidly to them, including making strategic shifts. Hyperscaler cloud providers such as Microsoft, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud, as well as vendors like Red Hat and Nutanix, are trying to capitalize on the market developments. So...had your conversation yet with #broadcom about your future? I understand Broadcom are looking to maximise their investment and focus on making that happen. But what about an entire industry that have put their faith in the #vmware brand and built their business around it? We at Zadara are talking to a number of you that are just waiting for that dreaded call, that has you: a) Forced into a subscription model, changing your whole CAPEX business strategy. b) Having to buy into "shelf ware" with the likes of vSAN and NSX-T that you haven't yet needed or wanted to use. Driving up your cost to serve. c) Wondering if you are now going to have to procure, (if they agree to sell to you) from your competitors. This is going to be a year of turmoil and likely to hit businesses hard as they scramble to make sense of what to do next. So, do you sit and wait to find out in March/April where your fate lies, or do you start having exploratory conversations now? #options #vmware #cloudcomputing

The transition of VMware to a subscription-based model aligns with the prevailing industry trend. In the contemporary business landscape, such shifts are commonplace, and it is noteworthy that VMware's move is in keeping with broader developments. Executing such a strategic shift during a transitional period, particularly in light of Dell's sale to Broadcom, appears judicious and logically aligned with the evolving business structure. Moreover, when an enterprise incurs substantial debt, as in this instance, a clear and well-thought-out plan for repayment becomes imperative. https://lnkd.in/gsKgMruu
