An UN newly released report said that AI ONLY benefits small amount of states, companies and individuals, i.e., some few humans are making big money by using AI to harm many people. AI is based on math models, and models must be V&V before we can trust them. Using math models to simulate a physical process started from the Manhattan Project in WWII for nuclear bomb design. Then, in 1960s, it came the C4ISR, which is today's AI, whose original missions were just breaching enemy's security, dis-/mis-information, cognitive manipulation, cheat, surveillance, detection for kill, etc.. In our reality, AI causes expensive electricity bills to a C-level friend of ours. 😔 😥 😿 AI can do many things, but NOT everything, at least NOT what we are doing, by using our intellectual property (IP), a copyrighted multilingual metadata, for OSINT. Last week I attended #ces2024 and Vasudev Lal and I had the privilege to show our Accelerating Multimodal Models demo enabled by Intel Gaudi 2 and Xeon. The training demo featured fine-tuning the BridgeTower model, where Gaudi 2 outperforms the top GPUs in throughput, thanks to its integrated media decoders: https://lnkd.in/gaCA3V2n The inference demo featured the new LDM3D model, which generates an image and depth map from a text prompt. Nvidia's Omnivores is available for the Apple Vision Pro, and it's a new era for designers. Here's a short video from Nvidia's conference few hours ago. Btw, this is why I said few months ago that Apple's $3500 headset is not gonna compete with the Meta's $500 Quest 3 headset, it's actually going to compete with Varjo XR3 & XR4 headsets which are priced between $4000-10000 for enterprises, military and government organizations. In the video you can see similar use-cases to what Varjo is doing for years. A digital replica of an automobile, which is streamed onto the high-resolution 4K screens of the Apple Vision Pro. With this tool, designers can manipulate the vehicle, it's components, and modify it in front of them.
