Why I love this. It makes you want to follow the team. I think it’s because it follows the golden rule of sports marketing: Whatever part you play in sport - team, athlete, sponsor, organization - grow the sport. Pick a level and invest in the people at that level. Maybe grassroots to encourage players or support parents. Maybe professional to entice fans with education or showcasing athlete humility and team heart. Whatever it is, focus on that one aspect and lean in. Understand both sides of the people you’re trying your best connect - with the sport, or through the sport, not your product. This shows you’re looking beyond sales. That your commitment to grow the sport is sincere. And never state your intention. Let them feel it.
To whoever was involved in this.... Chefs Kiss!!! Incredible piece of work thats convinced me we are going to win the league now! The cliff, Bryan Robson, the soundtrack, Angry Ginge calling someone a bellend, the kit, the tone of voice, the styling... 🔥🔥🔥 You can't beat an original. adidas Manchester United Ian Nolan Nick Speakman

How we utilize the idea of 'Team Captain' on the Retail floor at adidas Toronto Eaton Centre: 'Team Captain' (TC) is the dedicated leader on the floor during a certain period. For a store as big as the Halo Concept, selling high volume of premium products with a large team (Often with the presence of multiple leaders/managers), TC proved to be an effective idea: What TC does: - Assigning zone's, roles, breaks and rotations. - Observes the floor on a broader perspective and eliminates bottlenecks. - Dynamically moves around the floor to ensure the guests are taken care of and the team is supported. - Responds quickly and responsibly to ensure safety on the floor. - Updates hourly KPI's such as Net Sales, Unit Per Transaction, Traffic and Conversion to have a real time view on performance. - Being the sole leader of the floor including colleagues hierarchically above. What TC avoids: - Getting dragged into tasks that blocks the broader floor view such as cash/fits/phone calls. Instead delegates. Benefits observed: - Higher awareness of real time store performance. - Better accountability of leader and team. - Clarity within team on roles and game plan. - Quicker resolution during security incidents. A team captain role for an individual is ideally carried out a maximum of 4 hours and transferred to another leader to maintain the intensity. Best of all, for visuals and to keep the spirit of Adidas football, we started the fun way of using the captains armband to identify the TC! A well run floor is the foundation of Customer Experience!

Hello everyone, Did you know the stories behind some of the Iconic Company name. 1. Nike When the Company was found in 1964, it was called as Blue Ribbon sports, which was probably too long. The Company's first full time employee, who has convinced to change the Company name to Nike by insisting successful brand name had two essential qualities. First they were short. Second they contained an exotic Letter like such as X, K or Z. In Greek mythology, Nike is the goddess of victory. 2. Apple During Steve jobs fruitarian period, in which he consumed an all fruit diet, he visited an apple farm and inspiration struck. 3. Starbucks It was inspired from Herman Melville's classic novel "Moby Dick". In the novel, which chronicles a doomed whaling expedition from the coast of Nantucket, Starbuck is the captain Akab's first mate aboard ship. 4. Adidas It has got its name from founder Adolf Dassler, whose nickname is Adi. This nickname was coupled with the first three letter of Adolf's surname to form the name Adidas. Happy learning and have a nice day ahead 😊 #Company #backstory #history #learning

Strava's 2023 global end of year report revealed that women don't feel safe when running - not surprising. In March 2023, adidas launched a campaign around safety after they found that 92% of women reported feeling concerned for their safety, with half (51%) afraid of being physically attacked. Additionally, the global survey revealed that 38% of women had experienced physical or verbal harassment while running. Flexible and agile working matters. During the winter months it enables employees to exercise and get some fresh air while it is still daylight without having to fear for their safety. At Kennedys we launched a personal safety campaign to raise awareness and help people feel safer. Personal panic alarms are available at all of our offices worldwide. #safety #adidas #running #dei

🎯 When Family Feud Goes Global: The Birth of Adidas and Puma🐾👟 Once upon a time in a small German town, two brothers decided that sibling rivalry just wasn’t enough—they needed a global stage! 🤼♂️ Meet Adolf and Rudolf Dassler. In the beginning, they were a dynamic duo, crafting shoes together in their mom’s laundry room. But as with any great sibling story, things got... complicated. 😅 One day, after what was probably an intense argument over whose turn it was to take out the trash, the brothers parted ways. But instead of cooling off, they did what any reasonable person would do: they each started a shoe empire. 💼👟 Adolf, better known as Adi, created Adidas—where "Impossible is Nothing" became the mantra (probably inspired by trying to win arguments with his brother). Meanwhile, Rudolf, not to be outdone, launched Puma, ready to pounce on every opportunity (and maybe steal a few of Adidas’ ideas along the way). 🐆 Fast forward a few decades, and these two brands are now giants in the sportswear world, each with its own loyal fanbase. All because two brothers couldn’t agree on who got the last word at the dinner table. 🍽️ So next time you lace up your Adidas or slip on your Pumas, remember: behind every great brand is a family feud that got a little out of hand. 😂 #SiblingRivalry #AdidasVsPuma #BrandWars #CorporateComedy #FamilyFeudGoneGlobal

Commitment, endurance, adherence to strategy, inspiration and sheer determination. We can read all of these things in these few words that Jacinda Ardern shared to the post pandemic New Zealand people. As always a few simple words convey a huge weight of meaning that everyone takes to heart from their own individual perspective. That's why Nike use "Just do it". As #businessleaders we often reflect on the words we use and how they are received by teams and customers, indeed by wider stakeholders. Do they convey our vision and values, do they deliver our energy and excitement for the future. Sometimes we forget that we don't have to interpret every sense for every person, we just have to light the blue touch paper of emotion. For #salesleaders trying to energise and inspire, we know that a few words make a difference and that famous phrase that 'actions speak louder than words' sometimes we need to be a bit more Nike! Today let's convey our confidence in the future by using phrases that our stakeholders fully understand and that energise our teams behind our vision (our colleagues will share that sense with customers). Today is a day for confidence in our journey. #jacindaardern #inspirationalleader #positivemindset

the post is about Adidas CEO's drastic move to help recover a brand damaged by Kanye west's damages in 2022 by giving out his phone number to 60k employees. if every CEO had a way to communicate with staff. give them some form of moral or emotional support and to intake information on recommendations for the company then any company struggling with sales or growth would be much better off. now do I think going this far is needed for all brands? no! the ceo had over 200 messages daily however a clear channel for company leaders to hear from employees from the ground up is important. all companies could benefit from clear communication from employees so that they retain talent and grow as a team rather then grow as a company. https://lnkd.in/gaTJ9qY2.

"Know your place and just run." That's what Nike told Allyson Felix, a seven-time Olympic gold medalist, when they wanted to cut her endorsement by 70% because she was pregnant. But Allyson didn’t let that stop her. She knew her worth and decided to leave Nike. After an emergency c-section and her baby spending a month in intensive care, Allyson still qualified for her fifth Olympics. She ran in her own brand of running shoes, the Saysh One, with her daughter watching. Her message was clear: "I know my place." With 11 Olympic medals, she’s now the most decorated American track and field athlete ever. Nike probably regrets losing her. Allyson's stand didn’t just end with her success. She publicly called out Nike’s lack of maternity protection, leading them to face Congress and change their policy. This story shows that one person can indeed make a difference. It's a powerful reminder for companies to value and support their employees, especially during critical life moments. Investing in your team’s well-being isn’t just the right thing to do—it can lead to incredible outcomes and a positive, lasting impact on your company's reputation and culture. --- Do share your thoughts below.
