Everything about the way we work has changed. However, our workplaces have remained stagnant, based on a society that no longer exists – one in which women weren't a large part of the workforce. After all, the rules of the workplace were written 100 years ago, by men, for men. It’s up to leaders to reset old practices to be more fair and dynamic, and to better reflect the nature of work we do today rather than how it was done decades ago. The future of work is flexible and it's time to change the workplace to meet the needs of our workforce. I was honored to join SHRM's annual conference in Chicago with over 26,000 HR executives to discuss workforce development and the future of work. What do you want the future of work to look like? Tamla Oates-Forney, CEO of Linkage, SHRM

Couldn't agree more! It's wild how we're stuck in century-old work vibes when everything else has evolved 🤷♂️. It's time we ditch the 'one size fits all' approach and get creative with how we structure our workplaces. Why not mix things up with flexible hours, remote options, or even four-day workweeks? Let's make our workplaces as dynamic as the world around us!

When women make up 46% of the total workforce in the US - trending to be over 50% by 2030 and only 10% of the S&P 500 CEO’s are represented by women. These two staggering facts combined with women being the primary or sole provider in 40% of households in US today with kids under 18 living in the home (up from 11% in 1960) tells us clearly something has to change Mellissa Librach

We couldn't agree more, Shelley! The future of work should be one where we recognize that people have lives outside of work and create a culture that supports a healthy balance.
