Very good insight! I agree, the landscape is shifting. Adapt or die. As a TV and movie production company we can align with the streaming platforms, and with half a dozen companies reach HALF of the entire world's population. By doing so we can also control our own destiny and costs. That is alluring. The media distribution marketplace will dramatically change in the next 36 months. Is there a place for cinema, theatres, streaming, and other alternative delivery methods to co-exist? Time will tell, we all adapt, we all evolve, that is the nature of business. Here is a prelude of things to come...

Thank you Arianna for the insightful post. The greatest trait about legendary people is that they are all ordinary people with extraordinary attitudes to life and what to make of it, in the short span allotted to make a difference. Miley Cyrus unabashedly shared her contingency plan of a short speech in case she got ‘tongue-tied’. How natural. How human. How honest. Love her for her forthrightness. If we try and fail, it’s ok. It’s not fatal. But if we fail to try, we have already failed. Think about it. Legendary inventor Thomas Edison was once asked “were you not fed up when hundreds of your earlier attempts failed ?” Thomas Edison the humble man he was replied “ why should I get fed up, because now I know many of these things I have tried do not work”. What an insightful paradigm shift of our definition of failure. Ground reality is failure is seen as a loss. Investment has been lost, worse wasted. If that be the case we should detach the word ‘development’ from Research, don’t you think? Because development as a process would at times fail and incur losses. Hence an intrinsic fear that debars us from venturing into the last mile because it may be fraught with danger, when in essence we may be actually moving towards the winning post. Success is not the opposite of failure. It is the stepping stone to success. If only we are taught from our early years this gem. Arianna post about Miley Cyrus' powerful reminder really hit home for me. The idea that "it’s legendary to be afraid and do it anyway" is something I find myself reflecting on often, especially lately. For me, being vulnerable is scary. Putting myself out there—whether it's through sharing my thoughts and expertise in LinkedIn posts, running a business in a male-dominated industry, or speaking out and advocating for change in that industry—is scary. But I’ve learned that it's in these moments of fear and uncertainty that the most growth happens. Being willing to take risks, to face failure, and to push forward despite it all, is what drives not just success, but also meaningful change. So here’s to all of us who feel the fear and do it anyway.
